Rusty Axe...Can I get it back?

So I was trying to use up my Rusty Axe as much as I could before storing it away in a safe place, since it made cutting trees way faster, but accidentally I used it all up and it completely broke..

Now, it seems there is no way for me to get a better axe, not even steel or iron? :\

you have to craft a workshop to get upgraded weapons; also an Anvil will allow you to repair metal items after it is crafted

You can also get rusty axes by fishing (they are pretty easy to get once you have the fishing rod).

I have the workshop and anvil but there is no way to craft an axe from iron or steel :P Also Anvil doesn't repair Rusty Axe if it's completely broken..i.e. the item itself is completely gone from your inventory

Thanks, David. I did get the fishing rod and I used it enough to catch like ONE fish before deciding I didn't want or need to do any more fishing I guess I'll give it another go...

Unsurprisingly, rusty axes are easier to fish than actual living fish...
