How to translate dragon's convo

Yes, you need to kill the alien on the first magic island, after which the dragon will translate for you.

How do you kill the alien?? It just says "blocked" anytime I try!

You need to get the quest from Alchemist first, and you can't get that before mining into the second layer of stone on the island (but mining only one block works).

I've mind the bloody whole island but I dont get the quest. Do you mean mine the light purple? I cant destroy it. please help, Im stuck.

The mining needs to be done on the first magic island (only the light purple stone, not the bedrock at the bottom), where alchemist activates the purple hut for you, after which you can talk to him and he asks you to find the source of magic spikes. Then, go to the alien and you can summon Alchemist.

Hm, my last quest was the sea witch potion, fulfilled it but no further quests now. I'm also not able to mine the light purple blocks. what do I need to mine it? Since I have no more quest after the sea witch potion I dont know what the next step really is. I talked with every npc, have the escort ship running but no clue what I'm missing.

It seems like you are on the wrong island. The quest is gotten from mining into the first magic island (the one you initially fly to with the dragon which also has the forge, synthesizer, and dragon lair), and Alchemist gives it to you on that island (or the starting island if you travel there first). A wyrm drill is needed for going deep enough.

Thanks! I just figured out what my progression blocker was! I had not tried feeding Coal to the wyrms. So simple, but did not think it was really important to feed those wyrms as they produced the blood without feeding them. Thanks anyways!
