Sunset Haven home issue.

Good Day all. I'm only 17 hours in and really enjoying the game but Sunset Haven is starting to irk me and I feel like I'm missing something.

Why is it that I have to pay 50 gold each time I want to sleep in Sunset Haven yet it is my responsibility to keep the lights on. I have to fuel the generator with my own time and resources and they can't let me sleep for free?.

I tried building a house but I don't have that option available and I tried checking the wiki for help but did not find anything (or I'm bad at googeling stuff).

Am I missing something?.

EDIT: immediately after posting this I found the tent at the factory so that kinda fixes the issue I guess. Is there anything fancier than a tent?.

EDIT 2: The tent is not the solution. You cannot place it in the world and it weighs 15 units to carry and only has 5 uses.

Eventually you get blueprints which let you build your own house on sunset haven, and there's a quest that makes the inn free to sleep in, but this is intentional to make Sunset Haven not feel as much like home (and to make the innkeeper extra annoying - just wait until you complete his first quest). 50 coins is not really that much though - 2 sulfur or the loot from 1 diode wolf is more than enough to rest a night - just occasionally sell some items.

I often will collect and sell the berries and wood on the island, which gives me plenty with which to use the inn and more to use for more necessary items. But yes, there is a quest that makes the inn free which is helpful to do sooner rather than later talk to the fisherman.
