I just started a new game with a completely new account and will no doubt come to the point where I'll be locked out of content due to required grouping. Low population = extremely difficult grouping. Had this game been designed with optional solo stuff, the population probably wouldn't be nearly is low as it currently is.
It is a beautiful game, I love it.
It's up to you. I just goof around at lv 49 and mostly just fish till I get bored. You can level via auto-completing the dailies, but that will cost you bronze shards which are very difficult to get in-game.
So you log in, autocomplete your dailies, do whatever you can solo, and slowly level your way up to where you want to be. Demonslaying ranks will be solo-able up to the lv 50s rank I think, the 50s will require a dungeon run. Unless they changed that of course, which I don't believe to be likely.
Also, there are no solo dungeons past the very first one. The first dungeon has three ranks lv 20, 30, and 40. After that dungeon, the rest are group required.
