Y axis movement(up and down)

is there any way to move the camera along the Y axis(up and down)? being unable to zoom in to the base of the trunk for pruning purposes makes it rather difficult to remove extraneous twigs that appear at the base of the tree. a mature tree doesn't sprout new growth at the lower parts after a period of time, and the purpose of bonsai is to make a young tree appears as a much older tree, with a thick base and tapering as one goes up the trunk.

The movement directions "up and down" are missing to center the bonsai in the middle of the playing area. At the moment the bowl disappears from the playing area when zooming.
Please correct this.

Would also love up/down. I expected W/S to do it, because in/out is already on the mouse wheel.
