my father is the same. I played through elden ring in 70 hours, he got 380 hours. you and I are not the same
I do tend to be ultra-cautious, explore thoroughly, die a lot, and save a lot if it has manual saves you have to keep running back to. And I'm crap at puzzles.
For anyone who doesn't rush through games like this, and/or isn't super "skilled": it's more like 5-7 hours. Take it from someone who knows ;)
So really: NO ONE should be able to play this through first time, by themselves, in under four hours. And you're doing pretty well if you manage THAT time without help...
And if you're REALLY crap, you'll probably get twice that long out of it (and you can also easily go back and get both endings, taking a tiny bit more time, as that doesn't involve a huge backtrack) :D
As for replay value? I'll definitely play it again some day, but probably not in a big rush. But it was mostly very fun (and I didn't get anywhere near all the Achievements on first play, so there's that).
second part of the game was better for me becouse includes more action
that door puzzle with moving parts was super hard for me 🙄
