Using steam remote play for multiplayer
I haven't played this game yet, but I want to know if I wanted to play multiplayer, is this the kind of game where I can use remote play instead of having everyone buy the game?

Mainly I am asking if this is the kind of game where you have hidden information you cannot show to your opponent since with remote play we are sharing the same screen.

This game doesn't have fog of war besides the initial unexplored tiles, though I guess you don't want your enemy to know what tech you are looking for or what units you are creating, especially if you are using knights (who are great at surprising the enemy due to their high mobility).
So if you plan to fight your friend, it might be better if you try not to look at each other's screens, though the impact isn't that relevant. Or you can just not fight and end the game when you are the only ones left.

Thanks! I suppose if you do coop it's a non-issue. I wish they'd implement real coop!

Me too, though the only thing we will get anytime soon is a "diplomacy" tech.
Right now the only way to play "co-op" is closing the game before it actually ends.
