The Battle of Polytopia

The Battle of Polytopia

Races differences?
I want to buy two copies along with the all expansions, to play with my girl.
I would like to ask though, do the races that start with different technology each, have other differences in the gameplay or are the only differences the starting technologies?

Also What is the difference in the store, between "The Battle of Polytopia: Moonrise - Deluxe " and "The Battle of Polytopia - Deluxe Upgrade"?

Aside from visuals and music, I think the only difference between the main tribes is the starting technologies, although one starts with a higher level of settlement instead. The special tribes, purchasable separately, have different play styles/abilities.

I think the Deluxe Upgrade should just be the DLC without the base game.
All 12 human tribes are exactly the same, minus the aesthetic and starting conditions. Aquarion are slightly different from humans, having 3 different units. Elyrion are different from humans, having 3 different units and an exclusive building, besides some small mechanical difference. Polaris are very different from humans, having 5 unique units, very different mechanics and 2 exclusive buildings. And cymanti are extremely different from humans because all of their units but 2 are unique. That is 8 unique units, I think. They also have unique mechanics (though not as unique as polaris) and 4 unique buildings.

I don't know about the name of DLCs.

The Regular tribes have 2 main differences: their starting tech and their terrain layout.
Everyone (except Luxidoor) starts out with a different tech, and usually terrain biases that work with that tech, like the Zebasi start the game with farming and have plenty of farms.

The Special tribes have more "bizarre" gameplay, involving new units and the like.
I bought these. 2 bundles ^^
first thoughts positive!
