Cannot exchange the golden bow

I am in the temple of Diana, with the fake golden bow. I don't understand how I can exchange the bow. I can only inspect the statue, whether I carry the golden bow or not.
What can I do?

Yeah, the trigger box for the bow is MUCH smaller than the one for the statue. What I ended up doing was standing as close to the statue as possible and jumping towards the bow. Eventually I did manage to trigger the bow (it finally suggested 'press E to switch bows'). It does work, but it's finicky. Good luck!

I stood in front of the statue, to the right. Jumping there gave me the opportunity to exchange the bows.

You can also just stand on the bowing statues head and grab it by moving a touch closer.
