Unfortunalty there is no way to disable this and no plan in the future to do so. We are not against it out of principle, but because the game has been entirely designed around this limitation. The whole balancing would crumble if you could visit more point of interest and the amount of narrative events necessary to avoid too much repetition would need to be multiplied by 3 or 4 (there are already 110k words in the game, which is quite a long process to write/translate)
I understand your frustration toward this feature, but it's part of the game, and removing it would require us to design a much different game, with much more content
