Any way to disable the red wave?
I hate this concept in this game and in the game where this concept existed too. The game is really amazing but the red wave destroys the thing i most like in it; the exploration. With it the game is just a gamble where you have a random chance to obtain sucess in a mission (in a planet for example) and don't have a chance to ignore an existing hight threat and come back later better prepared. As a player i sincerely want to play a game that is the way i like not the way it was designed. So, please, if there's no way to disable it could the dev team put and option to disable it in a future update? Or even a DLC? Please people, remember to be polite in your answers and forum admins, fell free to lock the topic as soon as it is cleary answered. Thank you.

Unfortunalty there is no way to disable this and no plan in the future to do so. We are not against it out of principle, but because the game has been entirely designed around this limitation. The whole balancing would crumble if you could visit more point of interest and the amount of narrative events necessary to avoid too much repetition would need to be multiplied by 3 or 4 (there are already 110k words in the game, which is quite a long process to write/translate)

I understand your frustration toward this feature, but it's part of the game, and removing it would require us to design a much different game, with much more content

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you for the answer, sad that this can't be done.

NGL, an "Infinite Survival" mode would be nice. There was a mod for FTL that allowed that.
