Double the price? Assassins Creed is 50 pounds (standar edition) (60€ for me), Fm19 is 35 pounds (55€ for me). I dont see any difference but only 5 miserable euros.
The differences between both games are abysmal, therefore you can not compare them. The only thing they have in common is that they are both videogames. While one of them is a AAA story telling with an ending (platform, adventures, open world, whatever you want to call it) with tons of work (3D enviroments, characters, story, historical research, OST, voice acting, animations, etc, etc, etc,) and money invested (marketing mostly and a huge working manpower),
the other one is a sim game (with replayability just like any other simulator game) based mostly in coding and databases that are updated every year from an already existing core. If I had to describe FM it would be like describing the Earth soil layers. The core would be the very first FM game and every new version (9,10,11,12,13,14.. etc) would be just layers overlapping the core game that was launched long ago.
Any game with replayability can last forever. The theory of: "it cost me 50€ but I will play 2000 hours so its a good game" its invalid. How many hours can someone play Dota2? Planetside2? or any other free game? hours played/money spent is not an indicator of how good a game is, otherwise the last mentioned games are the best games ever made
I know I can buy the game somewhere else to get it cheaper but I like to use the developers price tag to value if it is worth or not to me, according to the price. Damn, you could even get it for free, but thats not the point.
Anyway I think I wrote quite a wall , but we have different opinions so Im not gonna bother much. Cheers!
Simple fact is to thousands of people think this game is worth every penny, and each penny supports
the fantastic job the developers do year in year out, if you dont agree its worth it dont buy it simple.
Its sales figures seem to show that...
As ive said before if you dont like it, dont buy it. Last time i checked you was not required by law to buy this game
Damn, your funny answers always keep me comming back to these forums.
If you have a problem with Steam reviews complain to Steam. They're so manipulated that Steam doesnt count reviews from games bought outside Steam, and considering most of you "white knights defenders" buy the game outside Steam to save a few euros yet you call of those who complain about the price whinners, cry babies, kids, etc... Well thats ironic.
You've got plenty of other places to check the reviews. I could name a few but you'll probably say they are manipulated so I wont bother.
And if we can save money on the game, then so can the whiny crybabies complaining about the price. The difference is that they would rather have something to complain about and so will not bother.
I also thank you for sparing me more of your drivel.
There is some enjoyment in Fifa Manager 12 to 14 if you mod the 3d match. However you are correct in many ways. I am very frustrtated with my Fifa Manager 12 because the transfer market is broken, my team is broke because I can't sell players even though they are top rated etc. The sim mode, text mode are fun but flawed. I spent a lot more hours in Football Manager even though it too has bugs but it graps my attention more and I actually feel like a manager.
I want to buy the new Football Manager 2019 but no money. I know they don't ask a lot but I have a debt issue. Life is expensive in South Africa so maybe a better discount if you have previous Football Manager would be nice.
For the price it is an investment and worth it because you can spend thousands of hours playing it.
I think FM player profiles are excelent, especially for a game, but only in top competitions. The lower the competition I think the disparity gets greater, but it should be expected I guess as less work gets put into them.
I follow some smaller leagues irl and I have wondered about the stats players have in FM, then they get the big move to EPL, La Liga or Bundesliga and suddenly their stats double?
I do think in part stats are conflated to draw distinctions between leagues and teams, because footbal (especially the higher you go) becomes a game of fine lines and luck and is probably hard to reproduce in a game and/or could make it less fun. It is a game afterall.
and now ? what do you think ?
