Affiliate Club
I've built up Wolves so we have one of the highest reputations in the game (2nd). But I've tried several times to start building up my affiliate clubs.. The board is useless at this, the AI as far as I can tell just picks random crap teams that are of no use and are worse options than the 1 affiliate I have, Burton Albion. (I did have Fulham but that ended when they promoted to the Premier League).

The board has authorized me to find my own affiliate several times, which is fine. The problem is I can't find any guidelines on which kinds of club might agree to a deal. I completely understand I'm not going to convince Real Madrid or PSG to become my affiliate, or someone like RB Salzburg who already have a higher level affiliate, but I've tried good smaller rep. clubs like Real San Sebastian and PSV and been turned down.

I wouldn't have a problem with this but this also means I can't ask the board again for an affiliate for a couple of months, which makes it a hugely frustrating process. Anyone have any suggestions?

I always just go for chinese, american team for global fans for extra income. Korea and japan are good choices as well. But this is from marketing view, i rarely used affiliate club for anything else

Thanks. I'll try that next time I have the option for an affiliate. Probably makes sense anyway because my version of Brexit will only allow a max of 13 foreign players in the senior squad so the old tactic of stockpiling young talent until they got their work permit won't work. As it is, I've got players I bought before my saves Brexit rule change and am having to either sell them outright or loan them to another team that will pay their wages.

This^^, the one exception might be a club that is a div below you for your youngsters to play at.
