FM19 Leadership Course

What is the point of the leadership course? As far as I can tell, it's to waste a small amount of money and a good 3 months of potential individual or trait training so the player can come back and tell me he learned "little". I've sent veterans, younger players, players with already decent leadership and players with low leadership. Some explanation as to what type of player would most benefit from this would be helpful. The coaching staff will always tell you when they think a player would, or would not, benefit from individualized training, so why is that not the case with the Leadership Course?

I've tried it for leaders, with no result. I tried it on professionals, with no result. The player with the highest leadership is 16 and I will probably never find anyone better, problem is he is 33 and done at the end of this season. I experience very little leadership gain in training.

In past editions sending a young player out on loan was a good way to improve his leadership, in this version I haven't figured it out yet.
