Build a New Stadium
Hello need some help here: I'm playing with Jahn Regensburg in German bundesliga. Got Pokal this year! My stadium is up to 20000 places. But i Don't know if I can upgrade it anymore. If there is enough money and if fanbase is high enough, will they automatically build a new one? Had to buy the actual stadium from the city two years ago.

Best way to find out is to install the editor, and have a look on the stadium on what max cap. is.
This one i did for you, yours is maxed out so u will have to apply at some point for a new stadium if u want to go bigger.

I think u need to have a 95% on ticket sales or something like that for them to believe it's worth but don't pin point me on that.

Finances: Will be a huge loan, where the old stadium gets sold.
Will be a huge loan, where the old stadium gets sold and a sponsor pays for X%
U'r able to pay it yourself.

The payments are often not to high so u won't suffer from it to much.

If you don't have the option to ask for a new stadium that's probably right, or u need to be in 2025/2026 or later stage. Also not complete sure about this but it was always that u need to wait 20 years since the build of a stadium to move to a new one. (your's was build in 1995)

Also the permits can be blocked for some period while applying for a new stadium.

I feel checking the game editor is kind of gamebreaking - so only go that route if you aren't concerned with immersion. There are multiple factors that the board takes into consideration of whether they need to build a new stadium, ticket sales is part of it but not all. Financial status is probably the biggest impacting factor.

The first part i kinda agree, but your only checking out the stadium max, something u should see but can't ingame. It's not like u looking up players. Think that clubowners know what the max cap of a stadium is so why not be transparant about it.

Financial status is a thing, but not huge.. i'v managed clubs with almost no budget that still get's a huge loan to make it happen. But for this to happen ur attendance needs to be maxed out (or close to)

For expanding that's more the case, cus most expansions u pay it direct but also for this goes the part above here.

Could you possibly just rent a larger stadium instead of building one? It would be faster and cheaper.

My team rented a larger stadium because I got promoted. I did not ask for it. I pay £93k per year in rent, and it has 6205 seats (the old one was around 3000 seats). Did you think it was impossible to rent a stadium?

You answered your own question. The player cannot decide if they rent or buy the stadium, that's up to the board. Not the player.

Its smart, when they board wants to upgrade, its usually a good thing. If you could do it when you wanted to you might go bankrupt,, imagine building a new stadium every month spending a few hundred millions a month on new stadiums for for the purpose of going bankrupt.

what?
Kimmaz Sep 21, 2019 @ 10:32am
you could manage a team you hate, build 20 stadiums during a season, and let them have a few billion dollar in dept, then leave the team and manage the team you wanted. I belive it would be called griefeing perhaps.

wtf are you going on about ?
