Gold and Food
Does anyone find that the gold and food consume extremely quick, always not sufficient. Meanwhile, the enemy and delegated provision have a lot. Is it a bug?

No

The enemy is usually well provided of food and coin bc they send it all to the front lines and their border cities to be prepared for long battles. You should do the same.

It depends on the production cities either have more income for gold or food.

I also agree that you should transport supplies from your rear bases to those on your front line

Some cities suck. Some areas suck. You'll use a lot more provisions in the south or in the south west/west areas because of the mountains and it costs more food to move your troops. vs the central plains where it's very cheap to march.

For income in general look at your core populations and you'll see some areas have more people and those areas get more stuff. Some places have more cores to that gives the city more income to.

Also if your playing on Hard you and the AI have the same "income"(as I understand it) if you play below hard you get a bonus to income if you play above then the AI gets a bonus.

And as said above. You can get backline cities, that don't border an enemy (or ally someone and use them as a buffer), then ship all there extra to your frontline cities.

Don't be afraid to use the merchants. If you buy around July-October you can get a lot of food cheap. While if you have a lot of extra food you can sell it in like may-Jun and get more money back then you paid to get it.

I still think this is a bug. I do nothing but focus on commercial (no other actions) but after one year every provisional's money drop to few hundred. Meanwhile, the delegated provisional (each) money increase to 10,XXX +.

Yes I'm feeling it as well, especially after this patch and purchasing the season 2 pass. Ever since the update, my cities are consuming gold and provisions at a faster rate and I can hardly keep up even with a backline of support cities and regions. Been playing the same few scenarios on hard for the past few months and it was never like this before the patch, all of a sudden I'm scrambling for resources and I'm always running low constantly and officers suddenly leaving now due to not getting paid.. Wtf happened I have no idea but now its less about strategy but more about crazy micro resource management now, never had to abruptly stop the game due to my other divisions becoming destitute and the whole army supplies failing.

I have no issue with it. If the city is new .. it could be because you're wasting money. Sending out long transports over rough terrain hurts. Also keep a close eye on training/recruiting. These cost A LOT of money. And you don't need to train every turn. I only train like 1 or 2 turns every couple months and it keeps me pretty full. Training costs like 1000 gold a month every city if you just plug a guy in and forget him. And, really no benefit. I dismiss my trainer @ Max, then don't rehire him until I'm under 80. Saves A LOT of money.

Also - and here is the BIG one. MERCHANTS !!!! Buy/sell every season if you can. While your struggling for gold/food - buy/sell all you can (keep enough to scrape by till the next season). This adds up QUICKLY.
Buying provisions : You're looking for 10:70+ (60 is OK, but I try to wait for a 70+)
Selling provisions : You're looking for a 10:30- (40 is OK, but I try to wait for the 30-)
Seasons :
July-December are usually when you get your best deals to buy. Be ready.
January-June are usually when you get your best deals to sell.
** Often you will get a merchant to sell to in late June, and he'll still be there in early July to turn a QUICK trade.

I just remembered some skills increase supply consumption while marching and bandit skills can damage the growth of an area and while I do not know the full effect it might be a good idea to examine what skills your characters have.

I suggest developer to check. I do nothing (no war & no transport) but focus on commercial. However, after some months, all money falls. I restart the game but result is the same. I play the scenario year 215 Lui Bie. [Please note that I had completed three scenario before the power up kit. Therefore, I believe I know how to play. 🤔]

No bug then, must be something specific to that scenario

Money can fall quickly bc your officers need their payment. If you have too many officers dwelling in the same city, your gold income will be severely decimated.

I do nothing and wait for another month. I find the problem (bug?🤔). The next balance = last balance - less spend (but not add the income). It is happened in non-quarterly month end.

No? Unless I'm playing as Sun Ce pre 200, or maybe Liu Zhang, money ends up being limitless. The game needs more ways to use money. There's also Xucheng, Luoyang and Chenliu being China's moneypot, but I don't expect Koei to nerf this any time soon, as it's probably a large part of what allows AI Cao Cao to be dominant.

just to show that I'm not exaggerating, starting in the 198 Lu Bu campaign scenario, here's Liu Zhang's total resource pool: https://i.imgur.com/54k33Y0.jpg

As for the city of Xuchang, after just under two years of development: https://i.imgur.com/BFV6bwv.jpg

Xucheng, more resource production than Yi province. There are a few other cities that are very wealthy, like Changan, Yi, Nanpi and Runan, but Xucheng is in a league of its own.

It seems that the coins continue to drop. After months, all money gone and the game cannot be played .
Please have a look and give me your hints.

In this game, if you want to fight continuously, then you will need to supply your troops continuously. You will need to transport food and gold from the back to the front continuously. You can also buy food when it is cheap to do so. I would never sell food as it is an requirement for war. The officers who have the skill to transport faster or more supplies are essential in your supply effort for war. It is not like the older ROTKs where food and gold is not as important. In this sense, this version of the game is more realistic and challenging.
