Skins don't unlock the character? wtf is this

I got a few skins and starter packs from Twitch and Xbox and thought I'd try out the game.
My 1st impressions of this game are horribly negative. Hey thanks for the free stuff Ill try it out...guess not. OK Then I'll get the battle pass and unlock a character that way...and still no... No other game I've played works like this.

Go ahead and trash me but this isn't the way to get new players / customers

Mhm if your talking about like cod for example the characters are simply cosmetic, they don't really have an impact so that's usually the reason why they unlock when u buy a skin, in this game u kinda need to work for the characters, stop crying just play.

Normally people leave because they dont like the gameplay. But I guess there are people that leave because they cant equip the freebie skins.

I think so they wanted us to buy more credits to get the character. Better just try to collect more reputation and you can buy some skins.

Playing daily challenges should help people to unlock characters within 15 days if you spend around 90 minutes per day.

You don't get free characters from the battlepass in Apex either or any game at all with actual characters that are not cosmetic like they are in cod. Point out one other game you have played "with actual characters" that works like you say they do.

skin is cosmetic and character(rogue) in this game is not. Each rogue have different perks/weapon and ability so that's why you need to purchase them first. tho im curious what are the other games u mention since i can say that all games i play that using similar concept or theme like this never give all free characters to their player.

it is a normal way or system. it just you are not the target audience since you are unfamiliar with this normal and widely used concept. So i advise just stay away from this game.

It is something normal, at Apex u can get ones's skin which character not opened/bought yet. Same goes to Destiny 2, u can buy or earn Hunter Class skin even u haven't create Hunter character. and Yes i will have Talon skin when i reach lvl 50 BP altho i dont have Talon and Phantom which given last season at lvl 50 BP.

And as a man ur pp wont be sliced just because u buy woman cloth. u will still be man theoretical speaking.

I got BP 2 and 3 for free, if you play the game and collect monthly rewards do the arms dealer event which comes every BP you can afford BP for free and maybe an emote or a skin. BP 3 returns 1050 rc so, but sure new players want everything for free from day 1 with no effort. Also wtf tell me a game where a skin unlocks the "hero", a moba or something, tell me. Wtf are you even talking about, do you receive the hero in lol if you buy a skin for that hero? Paladins etc. Again what games work like you said? What games gives you both the skin and the hero?

Arms dealer event always come before the BP ends, it will come after the weapon mastery update.
