Ally Digimon alternate evolutions

Will I get all of them by playing all routes and getting them to 70 affinity at least once, or do I need to hit 70 affinity multiple times in specific routes? It sound like the True route there are more opportunities to raise affinity. Can I hit 70 just in that route, or does Aoi or whoever need to hit 70 in one of the 3 normal routes to get something not available on True?

Affinity gets you the primary evolution, but the alternate evolutions are story-related in particular routes and don't depend on Affinity at all. Once you get the evolution or complete the corresponding route, it stays unlocked as a usable in-battle evolution for New Game+ on that save file regardless of which route you take next.

Based on what I see in the game files (I haven’t finished actually playing myself), to get all evolutions, you’ll need to complete all routes except Harmony. Of course, each route has its own story, so if you’re also interested in the story, you should complete all of them anyway.

No, that route you mentioned also has an unique evolution. Every single route has at least one.

(Full game spoilers) Moral has Omegamon, Wrathful has Plutomon, Harmony has Boltboutamon, and Truthful has the holy beasts..

Right, forgot about Omegamon. I was looking for a system message like the others have, but I guess it’s given without a message. But are you sure you haven’t mixed up Moral and Harmony? Am I misunderstanding the code? It says Boltobautamon is in the Law route, and I’ve been under the impression that Law = Moral

Bizarrely enough, Harmony/Data is Law and Moral/Vaccine is Neutral.

Wow, and welp. I did think some of the answers in Part 3 and early Part 4 (which I’ve just replayed and re-edited) felt like these two were swapped. This… somewhat… explains that.
