About Agumon's mega evolution.

At this point (ch 8) I understand that Agumon's evolution depends on Takuma's affinity.

This is my first playthrough and I've leaning toward the Harmony / Data options (with some Moral and a little bit of Wrathful) and got Tyrannomon as a champion and Triceramon as an ultimate.

But in the mandatory evolution to mega sequence in chapter 8, somehow I got Wargreymon , which is not what I want.

FYI my affinities during that sequence was:
Moral 31
Wrathful 18
Harmony 45

Is the game bugged? Where did I go wrong?
If this is a mandatory one for a first playthrough please tell me.

I would say it is a bug, unless it is based on the choice at the branching point and you chose moral.

if Jijimon died after getting the mega then you are on the moral route. I think the option was something along the lines of picking saving your friends at the branching point for moral as opposed to saving the world (harmony) and being with Agumon (wrath).

Wait, THAT is the branching point?? What the ♥♥♥♥. I thought the branching point was Deciding whether to save the another world or not, after Piedmon fight in the real world , that's what the game even said complete with an achievement and stuff.

We might be talking about the same thing. It was the option you pick right before you jump back in the portal , right after the game literally prompts you about the game branching. If you picked save the world there then you are on harmony and I have no clue why you ended up with that mega.

Oh yeah, that might solve the question. I asked another friend who picked save the world and he got Dinorexmon even though we have similar affinity ratio.

Did you reach affinity at 70+ points ?

What do you mean? Do you mean Karma points?

Karma points will only determine Agumon's Champion and Ultimate evolution. His Mega is determined entirely by the route you took at the branching path.

Yes, that is what I thought. But how/where do you get the mega evolution? I beat the game and when Harmony path on first playthrough and didn't get a mega evolution for Agumon.

Agumon (takuma digimon) evolution depend on your karma point and story progress. , not branch story on chapter 8. branch story => ending which will you get.

Agumon (takuma digimon)
chapter 1 for mature / champion
chapter 5 for ultimate
chapter 9 for mega.
