Problem with Chica

I'm prepping for 50/20 slowly and decided to add Chica in. I know the global music box helps get her content, but when I switch from the heater to the global music box to go and change the ventilation, she kills me anyway, despite the Global Music Box being on. Is this a bug, or is there something I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

It's more like she noticed the global music box stopped and decided to kill you then before you turned it back on

I even waited a second after turning the box back on, thinking simply the game didn't register the music box in time. She still killed me anyway.

All of them are driven by at least a tiny bit of rng. Even in the older games

Hm....I have another theory. Maybe you have to constantly keep track of chica and time when you use the global music box, and once she stops banging around in the kitchen, nothing stops her and you're screwed.
