About the CC is shadow Freddy theory
I see a lot of people saying cc is shadow Freddy but I haven’t heard anybody say what the proof is for cc being shadow Freddy, I’m not saying the theory is wrong I just want to know if there is a reason behind this theory.

The theory is mainly to explain both the existence of Nightmare and the reason for Shadow Freddy helping Afton. In the game files, Nightmare is labeled as "Shadow Freddy" and the theory states that this is Michael having a guilt-induced nightmare about what his brother has become. The theory is that CC became a shadowy version of the robot that killed him which was Fredbear/GF and Nightmare is also a shadowy version of Fredbear. This also would explain SF helping Afton because Afton is CC's father. I'm positive someone else could explain this better than me but this is my explanation of it.

So it’s more of just speculation
in the game files Nightmare Night is labled "Shadow Freddy", and it makes sense for Micheals guilt to be represemted by his little brothers fate

also Shadow Freddy helps William in fnaf 3 like a child listening to his father

This.

There's also the big shadow under BV in the final cutscene of FNaF 4, which stays even after BV disappears which may be a hint at what he becomes.
It's largely to give BV significance while avoid causing any lore contradictions and plot holes like BV = GF does.

There's also another more heroic interpretation of BV's actions as Shadow Freddy (and by heroic I mean he's trying to help the kids and not a mass child murderer). In this interpretation (which is my personal headcanon), BV tried to help the kids by guiding them over to William Afton, wanting to stop him just like anyone else but unable to do so himself because he's a spectral shadow figure incapable of actually interacting with the physical world.

He wanted to accomplish one of two things by guiding the animatronics over to William - either the animatronics would be able to defeat and destroy his evil father by physically killing him with their metal-empowered strength, or he was manipulating William Afton into destroying the animatronics so that the murdered children would be set free from their prisons.

Unfortunately, while his plan was noble, it didn't work out as well as he hoped. Because even though the kids got their revenge, it wasn't enough to free them. And BV couldn't do anything to help them from that point onwards.

They both were probably freed in FNAF 3. Shadow Freddy does appear in the game so we know that he's present.

Wait, when does Shadow Freddy appear in FNAF 6? And don't you dare say the mini game at the start.

None of the spirits were actually freed at the time of 3 was what I meant.

Are we sure that no one was freed in 3? I mean, for sure?

Only the missing children were given any closure, but they were still said to not have been freed by the time of 6 so yes no souls were freed.

Shadow Freddy and Shadow Bonnie are both oddities. They were never inside animatronic suits, having no physical forms, so I hesitate to say they were ever "trapped" to begin with.
