MAJOR NEWS ALERT!

This news is so big, it deserves its own section near the top of the thread. It ain't happy news tho, quite the opposite of that. Due to some circumstances I won't be saying here, Scott Cawthon has decided to retire. No, this is not an out of season April Fools joke, this is very real. Details can be read on his site here[scottgames.com] on the Internet Archive[web.archive.org] since scottgames has gone black in only a few days since the retirement has been announced. As of now, the future of FNAF is uncertain.

6/19/21 Update: scottgames.com has gone completely black. No image, no scottgames logo, nothing. Just the void.

Book News

(New as of 1/15/21)
Fazbear Frights #10 and #11 are now confirmed to exist along with their release dates and in the case of #10, a name. It's called Friendly Face and yes, we do know the 3 character names this time around along with the idea of what their stories will be like. To see that, head on over here[bookmanager.com]. Along with those books, another edition of The Freddy Files will be coming as well. It'll be releasing the same day as Fazbear Frights #11, but unlike that, there is an Amazon link for the new files so pre-order if y'all want.

Fazbear Frights #11 will be the final Fazbear Frights book. With that being said, there is a complete boxed set containing all 11 books and a 12th book that contains some stories that didn't make it in to the previous 11 for some reason. There doesn't seem to be a store page for this yet, but the proof of existence is here[bookmanager.com]. For those who already have the 11 books and want to get their hands on the "deleted stories" book, Scott has made a post on freddit saying it'll be available eventually.

For months, it's been speculated on why the cover story of Fazbear Frights #7 was changed from The Breaking Wheel to The Cliffs and when the book came out, most concluded it was because of how gruesome the story of The Breaking Wheel was. Turns out, that wasn't the case. It's actually because of how gruesome the art of The Breaking Wheel was.

Merch News

As a replacement to the conventional conventions, Funko is hosting a virtual fair from January 19th to the 29th. They've announced some of the companies and series that'll be represented in this event and FNAF is one of them. This most likely means new merch will be announced soon, so follow Funko on the various social medias or stay tuned to this thread for more details to come. (2/25/21 Update: This has been long overdue to be said, but there was really nothing there of interest unless you like potential future FNAF AR skins)

Funko has unveiled 2 new giant plushies, those being Rockstar Freddy[www.gamestop.com] and Vanny[www.gamestop.com]. They're Gamestop and EB Games exclusive, so if you live outside of North America, you might be unfortunately out of luck for now.

Security Breach News

Security Breach will be shown off again during Nvidia's GTC event[cdn.discordapp.com], happening April 12th - 16th. Whether there'll be more gameplay or even a release date here is yet to be known. In other, slightly older news, 19 new screenshots have been shown during Dawko's charity livestream last Saturday and he's uploaded them all to Google Drive[drive.google.com] in case anyone wants to see and/or download them.

First off, nothing too exciting has been shown off at the GTC event, although Dawko has put together a video of things that might be interesting. Now onto something that literally just happened today, Scott has announced via freddit that Security Breach will be delayed once again, this time to Late 2021. To make up for it though, he has released a "troll game" on Gamejolt[gamejolt.com].

Special Delivery News

(New as of 2/25/21)
Long overdue announcement here, but a Valentine's event is happening now, been happening for a few weeks and the event will end on March 4th. 2 new skins have been added, 1 for Bonnie and 1 for Baby. Nothing else new, for now. Unless Illumix decides to surprise drop a brand new character.

A new event called Ancient Equinox has started. Like with the Valentine's Day event, 2 new skins have been added but instead of Bonnie and Baby, it's Mangle and Springtrap this time. The event just started last night, so we'll see if other new skins or a new character gets added (4/9/21 Update: As it turns out, there wasn't any other new skins. And the Easter event doesn't look so promising either).

A huge update for the game has came, and it brought huge changes to the gameplay. Well, at least for the initial lineup. Characters added since the launch and skins don't have the gameplay update yet, though Illumix will most likely implement it for them in the future. In the meantime, a new event started called Wicked Tides and that Endo skin be looking good.

A few disclaimers before the list starts.
1) Due to the massive amount of skins Illumix seems to be pushing, I will not be counting them as their own characters in this list. However, I will include them alongside the original characters in their own skin column.
2a) Any character that isn’t naturally spawning yet will be a spoiler unless they have been in the game for more than 3 months.
2b) If a character that previously hasn’t been able to spawn starts spawning before the 3 months are up, they’ll remain a spoiler until 2 weeks after the natural spawn date.
2c) If a character that can't naturally spawn gets a skin a month after they first get added but before the 3 months are up, they'll get unspoilered immediately,

With that, the fifth and possibly last ever round of news roundups on this forum are done. Hopefully 2021 will be a better year than what 2020 was.

Whenever I see any sort of news happening, I mostly see it from Twitter with the occasional Dawko on Youtube. I do hear there might also be some good FNAF Discord servers to join, but y'all will have to search for those.

Anyways, TL;DR, adulting is being forced upon me this year, there ain't anything I can do about it and I gotta leave this thread behind as a result. I hope once my life settles into a new normal, I can make the time to do a thread like this again, but until then, sayonara News Roundup Thread and everyone that's ever been along for this ride. I'm gonna miss eveything and everyone here.

Well, Scott has hinted that Kellen's work in the FNAF universe ain't done just yet. If this truly is for Help Wanted or not, I ain't sure yet. If Spring Bonnie is in this tho, then I have no doubts in my mind Fredbear will make it in, thus Kellen will be in as well. But this "and other things I can't talk about yet", that is quite intriguing and I doubt this is for Help Wanted. I truly think this is more Into Madness material.

My guess was that the book was being rewritten, but if that was the case, the release date would've been changed (assuming that's not a placeholder date).

While I don't doubt that there's a possibility of it being for Into Madness, there was an article from a while ago that said they'd be new characters in Help Wanted. Perhaps Kellen could be voicing one of those characters?

Happy National Smoke Weed Day!

Also Happy Easter in case no news comes tomorrow!

Anyways, it's way too early in the mornin (aka way too late in my day with my hecced up sleep scehdule) for me to be doin updates for this thread, and there's also Splatfest goin on right now, but the news keep breaking and they don't stop breaking and they don't stop breaking and they don't stop breaking and they don't stop breaking and they don't stop breaking and they don't stop ...... you get the point.

So we got Ennard confirmed for Help Wanted now. Congrats to you Ennard fans! And we also got some footage of Springtrap's jumpscare. I'm not supposed to give my own opinion since I'm a news reporter but I think it could be better with some improvements. Knowing Scott tho, I think he already has. He did mention some time back that we should see Springtrap walk. Damn I just wanna see him do his thing in the full game now but I know I ain't gonna be able to afford a VR headset and it hurts my soul.
