Scott Cawthon's Art Style
I'm very intrigued by Scott's art style. His work on Desolate Hope and FNaF (All the bosses for DH, and the Nightmare characters from FNAF 4 are so cool looking) is so eerie and detailed. I love it. I'd really like to know what programs he uses, if he does his stuff free hand, or whatever. I want to know how he makes his art for his games.

Scott uses 3ds Max for his 3d art, and Photoshop for any of the 2d stuff. (I got introduced to 3ds Max from FNAF and now it's my go to modeling software). I agree with you and I love his art style. It really love his early-2000s esc. aesthetic and the backgrounds in some of his games like TDH and Chipper & Sons are honestly really pretty.

but that's not how it is in the games. it still moves and functions perfectly normally.
Soul magic. That thing wouldn't be able to move at all if the soul wasn't still possessing it. It moves normally cause the soul is basically using like a puppet.

mechanical issues would still arise even if the soul was powering it; the soul can't just make something magically unjammed or functional

for example, if I got a mannequin and tried to turn its arm in a way that it can't, then it won't turn that way. same reasoning with springtrap, if guts are blocking the way, then it's not like a soul would be able to just push past that unless they used enough force to break it

And have we seen Springtrap do anything really complex besides move his arms up and down in the same position most of the time?

he makes walking sounds, so he is able to walk

he can crouch and crawl

he can position himself in a way that he can peek around corners and quickly retreat

his body overall seems very flexible, especially judging by the sl cutscene

We never see how he walks.

We never see how he gets into a crawling position, for all we know he could very slowly position his body into a crawling position.

He's always standing up when doing so.

So he walked foward and his arms flipped back and forth like they're about to fall off, not really flexible looking to me.

sl cutscene

he gets into vents pretty quickly

yeah, so?

they don't flip like they're about to fall off... they just move forward

He looked like jumped over, not walked over.

Well, every hour is only 40 seconds, so that can be debatable.

Standing isn't a very complex position.

They wobble fowards and backwards.

1. still, it's a step

2. can you ♥♥♥♥ off with that already? if it affects springtrap, it affects scraptrap too, so it's not like you're getting any leverage from it anyway.

3. he'd have to move his legs at least a little considering how far he peeks out

4. not really. his right arm goes back a little bit, but his left arm is pretty rigid

1: k.

2: No, I won't "♥♥♥♥ off with that already" as it really doesn't affect Afton.

3: "a little"

4: They still wobble, showing that they're damaged and about to well..break off.(which does end up happening to one of his arms, at least part of it)

2. how so? if 3's nights are stretched out to hours, then ffps's nights would be stretched out to hours as well, since it goes on for the entire business day

3. still shows they function.

4. fair enough. however, in 3 none of springtrap's body wobbles (besides his head while walking), so that's presumably damage caused by the fire

2: The thing is, Springtrap only goes as fast he does in the camera vent so you can't catch him every single time. It's a game mechanic and nothing else. Same with Afton in FFPS.

3: If it moves a little, then it isn't really enough to break anything.

4: Well he walks very differently in the office walking animation than the way he does in the SL cutscene..

2. I don't understand the point you're trying to make with this

3. considering he walks around a lot, I doubt he's concerned with not breaking himself since he can walk perfectly fine

4. yes, because he was damaged after the fire, so it'd make sense for him to have a slightly different gait

2: I've already said that it also affects Afton in FFPS. that was the point I was trying to make.

3: Again, we haven't seen how his legs move when he walks(unless if he has a pair of rollerskates in that walking animation)

4: We don't see what happens after he stops running across the hallway. His arms could've started wobbling after that too.

4. in his jumpscares, his arms don't wobble and move pretty smoothly

3: Yes, but we don't know how he walks.

4: Because he literally just walks up to you. He doesn't run up to you. He just walks.

4. something that's about to fall off would not move that smoothly
