my child now cannot sleep!
My 8 year old downloaded a free version of this game without my permission (strangely her tablet didn't ask for my password as it usually would?) as all her friends were talking about it. Within an hour or so I found out, questioned her and her siblings about it and then I deleted it. However it was too late. She is traumatised by it and will not go anywhere in the house alone and has to have an adult sleep in her bed every night. We're on night 3 now and she seems even more scared. I just wish I could make her un-see this game. Clearly way to scary for children. Can see me having to get her to a hypnotherapist at this rate :(

Horrible nightmares to be had!
My 5 year old step son, is allowed to watch gaming videos and play this at his BM house. We have attempted to explain that this game is not for children, especially that young, but instead of stopping him, they buy him figurines, clothes, collectibles, ect. He cannot sleep at night and some times gets hysterical about how terrified he is. I did a demo of the game, and was terrified myself. Do not let your children play this game.

Not good for kids AT ALL
My 7 year old told me last year that she was watching these clips on YouTube called "Five Nights at Freddy's". I didn't think anything of it, since we routinely ensure that they only watch cartoons and such. But one night she told me she started having nightmares about it, so I checked into it, read the backstory and cut the kids off from it, and denied access to TV unless we strictly control what they watch. I thought that was the end of it, but lately she has been writing things on paper about killing and death, all while drawing characters from the game and clips she saw online. She wrote things like "If you hear a sound like this shreeeeekkkkk your dead" "Fredy faz bere is killing pepel riteh now" (7 year old spelling) "You rilly want to di do you No!!!" "Like Rilly Dead" "Wate do you call were someone is trying to kidnap you what do you do? You call a dump to set you on fire hahahaha" This crap is unsettling. This "game" shows cartoon characters which draws kids in, making them think its a cartoon designed for them. Do not let your kids anywhere near this garbage.

Might be scary, but appropriate for children 10 and up
I think that this game is just fine for kids, and no inappropriate content for children, but if the child thinks it is too scary, they should not play. But be aware that the 2nd and 3rd game both have minimal, 4 bit blood in the in-game Minigames played with graphics of the Atari 2600. You can go to this website to find out why. Don't worry, this does not happen often in the game and is not part of the main game. freddy-fazbears-pizza.wikia.com/wiki/Purple_Guy. If you ever let your child ever watch a pg-13 movie, no matter what it is, it's okay for your child. And oh my FREAKING GOSH. THERE IS A THREEEEE IN the product /safety part of the game page. you DON'T NEED INTERNET AT ALL TO PLAY THIS GAME.THIS GAME DOESN'T COLLECT ANYTHING FROM THE PLAYERS. Once this game is installed, you can turn the internet off of your device forever and still use the full game.

rip your eyes.
When my son first became interested in this game I was a little uneasy..He never played always watched others on You Tube.He mentioned how the creator was a Christian after I mentioned my disapproval. It turns out the creator,Scott Cawthon..denounced God after several failures of Christian video games.Somehow,he came up with the FNAF concept and became hugely successful! It takes a twisted psyche to dream up a kids video game of a child murderer luring kids into a backroom at a Chucky Cheese type establishment!!!People on You Tube are making ever increasingly bizarre fan videos related to murder and brutality. My son went from being terrified of the game and it's violence to having dreams of kids being stabbed to death..Trust me..The posters, the building sets, the You Tube subscriptions are GONE ! Research this game, watch some of the fan videos..Those alone will scare the living tar out of you.
OMG DEMON POSSESED
I am a loving father of 3 beautiful children. One is 15 he asked if he can get this game I reluctantly agreed. Seeing that it was 12+ on commonsense media. I was watching my favorite television program when he came to me at around 10:00 2 hours pasted his bed time. I said go back to bed he said I am having nightmares about Freddy. He then said that Freddy was in his room saying to hate God and love the devil. I said give me your iPad. Then I remembered that the parental controls for 30 mins was on and the iPad was locked until the morning. So then in the morning I deleted the game and told my son that he is not going to ever touch the iPad again without me in the room. 18+ do not let your child play
I have some advice for these parents: STOP LETTING 5 YEAR OLDS AND 8 YEAR OLDS PLAY HORROR GAMES!!! OF COURSE THEY'RE GONNA HAVE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NIGHTMARES AFTER PLAYING HORROR GAMES
seriously??? there is literally nothing demonic in the game that would influence that kid to have nightmares where Freddy is trying to tell him to worship the Devil, and also, how the ♥♥♥♥ does a 15 year old have nightmares about FNaF??? has he ever played ANY horror games before, or even watched a single Markiplier video?
