Ultimate Custom Night.exe has disapeared

Recently I tried playing UCN but steam said that an error has occurred: in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading\871720 there should have been the file "Ultimate Custom Night.exe".
Today this problem happened to my friend, and we don't have McAfee.
I already tried to make a discussion on this problem but now I would like to try adding more details.
Does someone know the solution (if there is one)? I would like to know it, pls.

Now the games starts working again, but I sew other people having this problem.

Well, if it says the exe is missing that means the entire game is missing, which means you need to reinstal it.

I tried unistalling it a lot of times, but the download stops when it has technically to download this file....

Have you tried downloading the Gamejolt version?

Yes, and it's the only way to play it.

Yes, and it's the only way to play it.

Try downloading it, then unpacking the EXE from the file and putting it in the Steam file for UCN.

I tried but my computer said that I need the access to edit those folders

I can edit them just fine, is there an option to request access to them?

Hmm...
Well, the way I see it, you have two basic options at this point.
Either you can continue attempting to get Steam to install the EXE (There might be a bug that's preventing it from doing so), or you could figure out how to get access to the SteamApps file and implant the EXE there yourself.

Anything further than that is beyond my knowledge, sorry :(

Well, the way I see it, you have two basic options at this point.
Either you can continue attempting to get Steam to install the EXE (There might be a bug that's preventing it from doing so), or you could figure out how to get access to the SteamApps file and implant the EXE there yourself.
