Upcoming Projects Mega-Thread!

Updated 12-8-19

Hi everyone, I wanted to make a quick post here just to say that I don't think I'm going to update this list anymore.

One reason is because almost everything from the list has been released now! The VR game is out and Steel Wool did an amazing job with it. The AR game is out and Illumix did an amazing job with it too. The books are right around the corner, and my secret personal project (which was in its infancy) got converted into a game for charity!

It also just doesn't make much sense for me to try to update the community as a whole using the Steam page of an almost 2-year old game. I miss using Steam, though. These forums were such a big part of my life for those first few years, and I really miss managing my own game pages and interacting with everyone. I'm sure that Steel Wool could make me a moderator or something on the newer games, but it wouldn't be the same. No, it wouldn't be the same.

I have a lot of good stuff in the pipe for 2020! :)

Last but certainly not least is an off topic thread that is dead as of now, but it’s worth mentioning in case it ever gets revived for a good reason. UCN RtR was the thread to be in while UCN was in its prime and HW was not out yet. There was a lot of fanfics made in there and that thread was even the thread with the most comments in all of Steam at one point. Truly was a great thread!

Before I end this kinda long final comment, I just want to remind everyone that Scott does have the power to unlock this thread and update it at any time if he ever changes his mind. Between me and y’all, I hope he does. I know he mentioned things wouldn’t be the same if Steel Wool made him mod on the newer games, but things won’t be the same if he leaves those that remain here on Steam entirely either. A huge change is coming either way, and which way he goes only he can decide. That’ll always be the case no matter how much any one of us begs and pleads for him to stay.

With all that being said, Scott, I and everyone else in here is gonna miss you being around here and we’re all gonna miss this thread. Thanks for keeping us all in the loop here for as long as you could! Most of all tho, thanks for everything you gave to us in the past 5 years and for all the future things we have to look forward to as well! Also, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and everyone else!

I'll admit one thing.
I am not a fan of AR... But that may just be because I think it's going to be something similar to Pokemon GO or something in that it's going to cause accidents due to people doing some stupid stuff such as keeping their eyes on their phone 24/7, which is sorta more of their fault anyway...

But like Pokemon GO, it's just... Not very interesting at all, at first I thought it might be where you'd be able to play FNaF in your own home, but that sounds abit difficult and is going to cause alot of risks for certain people. So then I thought it might be like what EarthDragon said and you collect parts/animatronics, but yet that's a Pokemon GO rip off...

I will say my view may change as you leak more about it, but as of right now we know nothing about it (aside from you're working on an AR)

Especially considering some mechanics will be changed. Like is EVERYTHING button pressed? Which if so is going to make it alot harder for some games... And easier in others.

I'm glad to hear there'll be an OFFICAL FNaF VR, now I can finally scare myself to death in VR.

I'm glad to see Foxy Fighters might be a thing. (inb4 it's not a bullet hell.) But seems like a fun thing to play!

Okay, we got some positives in, now for my last negative.
I honestly have lost all hype for the movie... Like when it was first announced, I was excited, but now and how it had lack of updates in the past, I lost interest and even doubted it'd be release like how I doubted Left 4 Dead 3.
I mean, you can say it's still active, but my hype is dead...
But that's what i'm like with most movies, so when it gets to the point where they start advertising it, that's when I'll be most hyped, which is also where you should focus on since that'll be where you must bring up the hype that died.

To end on a happy note, I'm honestly really glad you actually posted here and not just on Freddit or something where I'd never find it due to my distaste for it. Glad to see you're becoming more alive on here.

I look forward to see what all you have in store for us in the future, near or otherwise, Scott (please let there be more games like Freddy in Space; joke game or no, it was pretty fun and is what got me interested in Metroidvania as a genre). See you on the flipside!
