Why is Afton and Springtrap different characters?

In UCN why is afton and springtrap different, arent't they they both William Afton?

They are both William Afton yes, but seeing as UCN appears to be hell/purgatory for William/Michael having both at the same time doesn't need to make sense, it's like wondering why Withered Bonnie and regular Bonnie are both there when they are the same animatronic, same goes for Withered Chica and regular Chica, The Puppet and Lefty, Circus Baby and Scrap Baby, Molten Freddy and Ennard (also with Ennard being Circus Baby + Ballora + Funtime Foxy).

Yeah, there are a lot of animatronics in UCN that defy logic just with their presence and existence.

What's weird is the fact they are not from a different time withered freddy and freddy are different so is molten freddy and ennard, and the puppet and lefty, but aren't afton and springtrap from the same time?

Nope, Springtrap is him from FNaF 3, Afton is him from FFPS, there was an undefined time period between those games.

You know, the withered animatronics aren't the FNAF 1 animatronics. Before FNAF 2 they had a second Fredbear's Family Diner with Fredbear, Springbonnie, and the unwithered animatronics.

No...Fredbear's Family diner only had Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, and the Withereds are literally said to of been reused for FNaF 1..

actually... the second fredbears family diner did have all of the original cast: Freddy Bonnie Foxy Chica. They were scrapped and remade into FNaF 2's toy animatronics, but then with the closing of the fnaf 2 location, they destroyed the toys and re-used to original four, now withered, animatronics.

The withered animatronics are NOT the fnaf 1 crew. For example, if you look at the two freddies, their head are completely different.

They were remodeled for FNaF 1. It literally says that in the ending newspaper..

springtrap is the one from fnaf 3 while afton is the one from fnaf pizzeria simulator(taking pllace after fnaf 3)
