Golden Freddy
So if it takes burning or destroying the animatronic to set the ghosts free, is Golden Freddy/Cassidy/Whatever stuck in the realm of the living for good? Since Golden Freddy is a ghost and not a physical suit?

I like that this incorporates real-life Ghost lore, sort reminds of the show Supernatural where you have to burn the bones of the ghost's corpse.

Like Phantom said, Cassidy is freed in Happiest Day, but it looks like it wasn't during FNaF 3's fire or Pizzeria Simulator's fire.

Cassidy is freed, but I think she’s in the afterlife tormenting William in his personal hell for all eternity as of UCN.

Cassidy has been freed. This has been evidenced in the Happiest Day Minigame in FNaF 3.

What of the puppet then? It took until fnaf 6 to find rest. I think the happiest day minigame only refers to the ghost haunting the fnaf 1 location, not leaving the realm of the living.

Maybe I'm rusty on my Christian lore/mythos but wouldn't that mean Cassidy would have had to been cursed/condemned to Hell? Not sure Scott is the type of man to damn little kids to hellfire :P

She was the one keeping him there. Besides, it’s a personal hell, not the contemporary version of hell.

I feel as though the spiritual matters of the FNaF canon are different to that of ours, and therefore, I feel it is subjective to discuss this.
Indeed. While it has some similarities to our spiritual matters, there are most likely some differences. Then again, as I said, UCN is a personal hell, so the rules of the contemporary take on hell don’t apply 100% anyway.
I also thought it is worthy to mention that in the FNaF 3 Good Ending Scene, you don't see Golden Freddy's Head, meaning he was never put to rest.

all but one of the animatronics are just manifestations of william aftons demons created by the one he shouldnt have killed, which explains why 2 of them are him. as to whom it is cassidy is likely, course we dont know if cassidy in the games is male or female as she is in the fourth closet but who knows.

That makes sense. I wish we got a clear answer on the supernatural lore in fnaf, it doesn't give us concrete answers on the story so I think Scott could clarify this. Especially with the whole "remnant" thing.
