I already play a bunch of Splatoon and Fortnite on it. FNAF would be a great addition to my collection. Especially FNAF 3 and UCN.

That would be great buuut clickteam fusion 2.5 (the engine used to create fnaf) doesn't have a console exporter so Scott would have to remake the games in a new engine which would take a while but would be amazing especially if he used unreal engine 4 to remake them in
Niko Kotsatos Jun 25, 2018 @ 10:33pm
What would be he difference what engine they were made in?¿?

I am going to guess you don't mean this game or his last one but the ones he put a price tag on? Lets look at why he couldn't put his free games on the Switch. Bilbozac brought up a good point on the engine not working. It would have to be recoded to work.

Now the most important part... Who is going to pay for it? A "free" game on Nintendo requires the publisher to pay nintendo. I am not certain how they choose how much, but at this point it is more than the game is being given for.

Yes there are free games on Nintendo but they are only "Free to Start" which means you can play them free but chances are high you will buy something in the game store with real money. Look at how they did Pokemon Quest or Fallout Shelter. You can download for free, but there is a big chance you will buy something. It is those microtransactions that create the financial flow to pay the Nintendo Fee.

Now to the other games that are already ported. That problem is less the fee required but more the game engine. The engine used in his games are always the same, and does not support consoles. That means he would have to recreate the games in a new engine. A new engine would require new coding abilities, new assets, and the engine itself would require purchasing depending on its own policies.

Can the Switch handle the games? Oh god yes. Can Scott make them for it? Probably. Does he have any incentive to do so? Probably not. Maybe his future games if he leaves his current engine, but past interviews with him has shown he has little desire to leave it. He knows it, how to use it, and owns it. He is one man, not a game publisher corporation.
