The logbook was made, not in 1993 as initially thought, but after 2017 as proved by the Real Value code , and William has been already Springlocked.
He knows exactly what is going on with Michael, why he is missing memories and why he can't die. Probably even more.
Faded text isn't really a ghostly entity, maybe undead, but Springtrap wrote physically on the book; therefore the sticky note "looks like somebody wrote this book". That note isn't directed at us but at Mike.
