Why can´t a chopter leave an infantry unit everywhere?
I tried with deploying an infantry unit at the LC but the chopter refused to unload them. Same thing in the Valley, the Hill and the Ridge so what can that depend on?

Choppers should be able to load/unload troops from areas that don't count as forests or swamps. Unloading units on the hill is also not possible due to tricky terrain. Other than that - did you try to deploy Bravo on the LZ/Valley/Ridge using waypoints or manually chossen coordinates?
I tried with both alternatives but failed every time. That felt pretty strange.

Would you mind telling me what settings are you playing on?
"Custom" with demaning battles, realistic fuel and ammo etc.

We're having trouble replicating the issue. Are those 3 settings the only ones you have enabled, or is there more? Knowing your exact setup could help us pinpoint the problem.

Alright, that sounds awesome; I have just bought the game, but need to move on onto another machine of mine to install that. The choppers cannot deploy troops everywhere? Having been studying the Vietnam War since 2004, light infantry tactics, airborne/ heliborne/ air assault manoeuvres & helicopter warfare etc. I can tell for sure - they simply can't in fact, even harder with pick ups and liftoffs - any SOG, LRRP, air cav story might testify as a proof. My kind of game. Don't work too hard, GI. Dung lai.
This is all my gameplay settings:

Subtitles enabled

Tutorial enabled

Challenging fight enabled

Realistic ammo enabled

Realistic stamina/fuel enabled

Constant map hints enabled

Senda metadata to developers enabled

Commander hand visible enabled

Troops can get lost enabled

Wounded can die enabled

Same same here. I am also receiving negative replies from Green One whereas Alpha is reporting 18 men down - 10 wounded, 8 KIA and they are on the move and not fired upon. I am moving them to an obcjective - an otherwise unforested and probably unobstructed higher ground.

Hmm.. With this settings set enabled we were able to transport troops and unload them on the ridge and the LZ with no issues. Are you certain the chopper wasn't empty when you tried to deploy troops? That would result in a "...not possible..." message. What could have happened is you've told the chopper to collect grunts and then sent it away before it had the chance to properly load them on board, effectively leaving the infantry on the ground.

You can also check the replay to make sure ;)

@sensei.tokugawa If the objective you're moving them to is the hill, the chopper won't be able to pick them up, due to tricky terrain.

Roger that, but let's just say it's an additional incentive for the Alpha men to move in there and occupy the position ... I am just not radioing that to them. You know, one of the tools of the trade ...

You can also evacuate CC's men quickly, so that holding the defense perimeter positions for long won't be necessary.

Alright, that is / was a quick battle which raged for about an hour, I saved that, returned, had a commo check from Alpha then lost all comms with everybody - grunts, slicks and the fastmovers alike. I am assuming this is an intended malfunction since I am having that option on.

What do you mean by "lost all comms"? Are you saying that the comm log was empty after loading a saved mission? Or just that the units were printing symbols instead of usual lines due to poor reception?

No, I just can't raise anyone at all like we have suddenly found ourselves in the Twilight Zone.
