Map Bug Report

[saintstoltz]

Just started playing on PS4. So far so good. Up until I discovered The Writer's Secret Room. Started searching around the map for the other and at one point opened the map, only problem is that now the game will not exit the map menu. Cannot fast travel, cannot go back to the main screen, the map only went away once sat for a bit and pressed X to look at the map keys. Then I hit the back button from that and suddenly the screen went back to my character as normal.

Edit: Just tried using the map some more and the same glitch appeared again. When I would try to fast travel certain rooms would go red and the fast travel would not happen.

Edit 2: Tried it a few more times and it only seems to exit this glitched state when I have it fast travel me to a room that it will let me fast travel to.

Edit 3: Tried it once again and now the map is completely blank. Only exit from that was to kill my character with dynamite against a wall (Good thing I had the ankh)

Edit 4: another thing I have noticed. At certain points, portions of the mini-map will disappear as I walk to different rooms, then reappear when I enter those disappeared rooms. Same thing with their attached hallways.

I have also experienced this glitch on the PS4 version 3 separate times today. Different locations, I open the map, and some of the time it changes color slightly, and cannot be exited. I am able to move my character, shoot, and throw explosives, but I still cannot see what I am doing.
I wasn't able to fix it. I had to restart the game, which forced me to start again from my last checkpoint.

If it helps, after starting the professor's story, I noticed that the map worked completely fine, no issues at all....... until I discovered one of the secret rooms. Then the map glitch started again in full force.

Tried it with a few characters. So far the map problem seems fixed. If I run into any other issues I will post about it.

Just to let you know, this same bug is also on the Switch and is sadly making the game unplayable as I keep getting stuck on the map screen with no way of getting rid of the map. Have to keep closing the game down and restarting it (thus restarting the level every time this happens).

When I am able to play it, however, I am loving the game on Switch :D
