As the Detective, look for stains of blood on the floor that lead to a wall. Approach the wall and press E, because that will lead you to a secret room, which are usually full of goodies and artifacts.
In the Mansion (the first level) try to find a shop owner with a weapon and get as much loot as possible to buy it. Also try to find as many ankhs as possible for extra lifes.
Most of the difficulty is based on finding the correct combination of items.
Lastly, we invite you to watch our walkthroughs in YouTube. They may give you some insights on how to play with each of the characters.

As much as I found the part with the detective well balanced, as with the professor it is despicable once in the jungle.
I get killed instantly in some rooms, because I hardly appear in them that I have a dozen monsters on me in less than 2 seconds.
Some parts are really overloaded in elements, it makes moving problematic, when certain elements like piles of bones which completely hide traps or monster eggs.
The only difficult level should be the first one, where you learn how to use your character, before you get for the first time to the Strange Place, but beyond that, it is a matter of farming objects with the playable character that you are more comfortable with, to assist the others.
Thank you for that useful note, Chaosbringer42.
i rly hope that in the second game they will at least try to do some balance cuz right now all what i want is just rush throw all areas with side quest as this stupid char and never pick him more
