Poor Youtube video quality.
Hey!

I would like to know if there is a way to improve a Youtube video quality.

First of all I would like to mention that videos rendered in Movavi Video Editor look fantastic on my end. Almost 1:1 when compared to the original gameplay footage. It's just that when Youtube processes videos they lose quality and look 10~ times worse (may be exaggerated) than the original video.

I've read that there is a trick to improve video quality. You just have to save video in a higher resolution (eg 2048x1152) and this will force youtube to allocate a higher bitrate to a video. The problem is that it doesn't work with 60fps videos. And that's exactly what I want to upload. A 60fps video.

Now I tried to render the same video with different bitrate settings, but it seems like Youtube completely ignores those settings and it doesn't matter if you upload a 10mbps video or a 150mbps one. They look identical.

Is there anything I can do about it?

Thanks!

P.S. Here is what it looks like when compared to the original video:

P.P.S. BY THE WAY! Movavi Video Editor is a great software that doesn't cost "millions" like other similar video editing programs. At least in the eyes of a total noob like me it seems awesome.

P.P.P.S. I understand that it is not an MVE problem, but rather a YT limitation.

Solved the problem by upscaling the video to 1440p in Movavi.

When you upload a 1440p video or higher Youtube uses vp9 codec instead of avc, and the quality difference is night and day.
