Video Editor lagging and freezing
I have tried contacting Movavi support twice already with no response. I'm about ready to demand a refund!!

Basically, I have a gaming laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card, loads of RAM etc as the laptop is quite new with only a few games on it.

I downloaded Video Editor as I wanted to start recording and posting my gaming videos to YouTube. It was "OK" until I tried to upload and edit a 1 hour long video (MP4) around 1GB big. Now it is seriously lagging and freezing to the point where it is impossible to edit. Any single action and click takes forever to recognise. I haven't uploaded anything for days because I've been trying to sort this out.

This shouldn't happen to a new gaming laptop with a dedicated graphics card. The video is small compared to most.

I have tried upgrading all my graphics drivers integrated and dedicated. Everything is up to date. I tried fiddling around with the settings in VE, turning OpenGL on and off, hardware acceleration on and off etc, but nothing makes a difference.

I have tried making NVIDIA GPU the default card to use both in NVIDIA control panel and through manual force by right clicking the application and choosing to run with NVIDIA.

I've tried editing different formats too but nothing.

This is my last hope otherwise I'm going to get a refund.

Exact same problem here, shame as it seems a decent piece of software but it's essential no use whatsoever when you start adding a few clips. Too late for a refund, hopefully it gets updated and fixed in the future.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing after export you click what you want me edit what you want, plays well on the little preview doesn't seem to change a difference between playing around with the bitright starting to think it's a waste of money. I actually asked on their website what I'm doing wrong been over a month now with no response sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't doesn't make sense on steam. It says this is version 18 and when you launch is set is version 14.5 which I think is false advertising. Anyways, I'm kind of frustrated trying to get this program working properly. Every time I ask. Movavi people doesn't respond. Anyways good luck to you all. I'm trying to find another program that suits my needs. Any suggestions please let me know.

Most probably that our response got into your Spam folder. Could you please chack it? If there's no response in it, please, tell us your ticket number.

I never got a response either. It is now 2019.

Actually, you've been answered November 6th. And there was no response from you so your ticket got closed. Your ticket might've been stuck in your Spam folder.

By the time that response had been sent, I was no longer waiting for a reply to my email, I was checking here instead for an update. I would have seen it too if it had come in my inbox so it must have gone to spam folder. However, you never responded to the message above where I gave you the ticket number. I wasn't aware a response had finally been sent, by email. And I didn't think they would go to spam because the auto-responses have not. A heads up would have been handy.

Anyway, I shall try what you say.

Thank you for the help, hopefully the other guys can use this information too. But I will be back if this doesn't work or I don't get a response by email! (and yes I will check the spam folder too this time). But there comes a certain point where a person gives up checking their spam folder!

How about you just fix your garbage video editor lol. I tried it on my 1080 Ti system, then again on my 2080 Ti system, and the preview window constantly freezes, every little movement makes it autosave constantly causing it to lag, the video editor bar constantly snaps up and the controls overlap it because it can't even be ran in native 4K with windows scaling turned on to recommended settings (300%). It's all mucked up. That's why I refunded it years ago TWICE (yes I gave you all two chances) and you all still haven't patched it to properly work for those who have 4K + windows scaling. I ask every year if you guys have patched it to work with 4K and recommended windows scaling.
Every time you all say "No not yet. Just change your resolution to use the app" ...and that is completely offensive! Nobody wants to change their native resolution and have their desktop icons get all out of whack every single time they want to use it! It's 2020. Wake up man. Millions of people are now in 4K! Get with the times and fix your app!

You’ve optimised your 2021 version? Really? I’m on a pretty damn good system, yet I still get lags and the program is pretty much unusable if adding more then 3 videos. Nothing has changed since 2019.
You also released a version update, resulting in ALL my projects being deleted! The project folders are there, but they’re all empty. How on earth can you release a update that does that? Didn’t you even test it first?

Yes I did send a letter to your support. The response? They told me to look under “recent projects” in the menu or navigate to “C:/program files/Movavi” and look in the maps. You think I’m stupid? That I haven’t checked that already? The next response said I should try reinstalling the program.
No, I uninstalled this piece of garbage! My money is wasted and many hours of work is lost.
