Haven't seen any updates for this game in a while. Looked like there was going to be some content added, but now...nothing.

I actually just finished playing this game, I loved the story and characters and hope more content comes out in the future.

I'm worried we'll never get that DLC either. I haven't played the game yet, but I was waiting for that DLC to dig in. :P

I think I've seen some info that the developer is already working on some new project. Shame, I would like to see The Miskatonic develop further. Perhaps it was not as much of a success as the dev would hope for.

Looked around a bit. From what I can tell The Miskatonic was supposed to have 4 free dlc but it doesn't say when just a kickstart goal. The new game is on Patreon looks similar to miskatonic artstyle and humor and is a sorta a NSFW Conan the barbarian era parody. He told people to stop subscribing for Miskatonic on Patreon sooo... nothing new? On Twitter he kinda just stopped talking about the Miskatonic after the trading cards came out. Also looks like he's kinda new to steam so he's still figuring stuff out. He's still decently active on twitter but hasn't mentioned Underdown since around August.

That's everything I could find. I'm more of a lurker so if anyone wants to try messaging him I'll leave a link to his twitter.

Okay that is sad and I would have liked to know it before buying the game but somehow I missed this tread.
Well I got two cards and try to figure out how to get the game to give me the third one that I still get from it.

Well I still like most of the artwork, it's just a little bit dissapointing when it looks like they gave up on their projects to soon, kind of like they would do with a fanfiction.
I mean if I understood you guys right they are most likely not working on it anymore.

The Artist changes projects frequently. He was writing this, working on a Super Hero comic Called Redd, doing a space visual novel game called Run Construct Doting, and now he's working on another visual novel called Bella the Barbarian Barmaid.
*Edit* Oh and he's also working on another game called Godfeast. I'm not sure why type of game it's suppose to be, but there's some Pixel art for it.

It's been a while, but from what I can recall, it referred to the dark days when Steam attempted to remove "adultish" games such as Huniepop from the store, before completely reversing that decision. The tweet brought up Germany and Australia, probably related to the censorship, and that a certain percentage of The Miskatonic sales came from those two countries.

It's really strange that tweet would be deleted. I can't tell if that's the dev's doing, or Twitter's because it mentioned censorship.

It's quite sad; the VN lends itself nicely for a sequel to be made but the chances of that happening, especially from the current duo who made this game, are quite low. After the credits, I was half expecting everything before that to have been the "prequel" part of the story, which I still feel it should be, but it's not gonna happen for a long while, I feel.
