Multiplayer, modding, internal IVA's,EVA's and base building
I have been playing KSP since 2011. What I hope this game will become is better than KSP in every single way. I dont care how many people say "it is a KSP rip off" i dont care. I want it to be a rip off. I would like to see this game become what KSP never did and that in a BIG part is multiplayer.
Second thing is you have to have modding. KSP had a big following because of the modders. This looks like a unity game and if so alot of modders already know their way around unity in which case i expect, depending on how easy the devs make it to mod the game, a flood of mods in a relative short amount of time. Modding will attract more players and will help with sales of the game. KSP would not have been as popular without the modders and that is a straight-up fact!
Third I would like to see internal IVA's in such a way that you can move around your ship and do things inside of the ship. (another layer)
4th I would like to see EVA's and base building with our own moddable astronauts (i am so sick of seeing kerbals)
5th a good map
6th Multiplayer camera parts
7th Be able to fly in the same ship with another player and share controls (with permissions) ie pilot, co-pilot
8th Optional: A mission control game mode or mod where each person could play a role in launching and on-orbit operations with their own terminal and respective telementry data from the ship depending on comunications. i.e. re-entry blackout, loss of signal due to comms satellite line of sight, satellite triangulation etc
i can think of more but we will start with that

Nice ideas. KSP, I think, struggled with orbital mechanics a lot. The objects in that game are a mixture of patched conics and other methods, with physics added, which resulted in issues taking years to fix, i.e., the Kraken. These probably made multiplayer a big issue.

So in this game, I am looking forward to seeing if they can "one up" KSP, or if they'll face the same problems. Will be interesting to see what gets left out or simplified, if they do face their own "Krakens."

yeah talking to the KSP multiplayer mod devs the KSP code is a nightmare. They have managed to pull it off but not without pulling out alot of hair mainly the positioning system. It is just brutal. But dagger (dev) has got the positioning really really close. But then you have the issue when you fix one thing then 10 other bugs pop up. But him and darklight are hanging in there.
A proper coded game and if multiplayer is developed more or less in tandem with base game it wont be so bad. So yeah I do hope SR2 will have multiplayer and become better than KSP I think its time. I am not sure how SR2 is dealing with physics or how in depth they (devs) are willing to go but I hope it is as far as they can with as much content as they can. IMO it is long overdue for this type of game/genere. KSP is winding down (has been for awhile) Its time for something fresh and new IMO
