When it gets to the point where Rin and Ion want to talk Privately Choose to listen in/"Inquisitive Mind"
When you're on the rooftop with Ion receiving a scale charm Choose to keep it. Keeping it also opens up a choice later that wouldn't appear normally if you hadn't. You will see Search for something usable in the part where on some bad endings Going back to sleep is put as your only option
With all of those done you should have another option besides "I don't know". From there, you're pretty much on the path to the good and true endings regardless what you do except for one particular choice on this path that leads to another of the bad endings. When you're told to either toss or leave something be during this path. Choose to toss them. From then on you'll get either the True or Good ending no matter what.
Oh shoot! I almost forgot to mention one more choice you'll need to make on the Good/True ending path. Apologies if you get tripped up by it before you get this message
There will be a choice to either talk with Rin or form a hypothesis. Do not talk to Rin. As that's another bad ending choice
