I've only recently started the Metal Gear Solid series, but it already really comes off as a similarly bizarre and intriguing experience as far as I have seen in the PS1 game. Maybe you should give that a spin.
Or finally, you can stick with ol' reliable and keep playing some more SUDA51 games. NMH 1 & 2 just recently got put on Steam, and The Silver Case series actually has three games, but only the first and third are on Steam (TSC and 25W), you'll have to emulate the second one ("Flower, Sun and Rain") on Nintendo DS.
Pathologic HD
I have Pathologic 2 on hold after around 11h of gameplay, it was a great experience so far, just a bit hard in the plot and decision making. How does the first one compare?
Thanks everyone for the replies so far.
Disagree, plays fine on PC and KiD has more complex and arguably more fun gameplay
A lot of fundamental aspects of both the gameplay and storytelling is very similar to Hotline Miami, yeah. As I always describe it, Katana Zero feels like a Hotline Miami fanfiction (and that's a good thing, of course).
And Paradise Killer- completely surrealist detective game but much more upbeat
i'm all ears
Oh you know.... Videodrome, Gozu, Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet, Dead or Alive ^___^
