Marathon Teaser gave me The Cycle Vibes

So they just published a new Teaser for the game called Marathon by Bungie. It is also supposed to be a sci fi extraction shooter. Looking at the environment and the sound and overall what happened in the teaser it gave me big The Cycle Frontier Vibes. Hopes are up for a new canidate to replace the Cycle.

Maybee. After seeing more i am now a bit skeptical. I was hoping for it to have no kill timer for example. Also the artstyle looks a bit to much over the top. Will still try it thoo.

it looks like cycle but worse. some things in the gameplay reveal look identical to cycle frontier. but also the sounds. wonder if any of the devs from cycle ended up at bungie.

Just found out They also removed the runing server feature :/ ah man. I fell like i will be disapointed.

Sorry i meant living server Feature. So the idea was that you could drop in the map and the map was allready runing and players were allready on the map and you could go in or out whenever you want without a mission timer. So basicaly like the cycle was. And now they removed that and made is seassion based. So all players start at the same time and have a mission timer. And thats sad. It was one of the reason why i looked foreward to Marathon but now i am more like: Meh.

yes this was really nice seeing capsules fly in and youd rush them.

nah for me its going to be arc raiders

okay well I managed to get about 5-6 hours in Arc raiders Tech test 2 and while 5 hours isn't that much it was fantastic for a tech test and I think it will scratch that itch that Cycle frontier did. Not 1:1 but close enough , maybe it will become even better overtime.

well In Arc raiders it still has the aspect that you can drop in a mission that has passed by 8 to 15 minutes ish so you can't just sit in a corner till last minute to extract safely. There are always new raiders dropping in to some extent.
