The Cycle: Frontier

Reasoning the game was lost?
Hello,

As pretty much all of you here, I loved the Cycle Frontier. It was such a fun game compared to the other extraction shooters. I've played quite a few but nothing nailed the causality of TC:F. Now with the game play being solid, and the art style being fantastic you'd wonder how could a game like this go "under" (if thats the correct word to use)

My question is, what happened?

Thank you!

Could there be any possibility of a re-release but having it not be free to play? I know one of the main issues of having a F2P title is cheaters (experience from playing TF2 / CS:GO / Runescape for the past 10 years.) but is there anything the community could potentially do to bring the cycle back?

We talked about that in the announcement that I've linked.

Last time we talked about the topic you mentioned in the post above was in our UEFN Blogpost.
"The last thing that we briefly want to touch upon is the messages that we get about wanting the game back and missing the game. It is truly appreciated as it means that we created something that resonated with you, the players. We are very thankful for your dedication! Some of you folks ask why we don’t sell the game and that it would be “so easy” to do so. While it is not an option for us, it is also not as easy as some of you might think, games and everything that happens in the background of a game are complex beasts.

So as you can see, we are well aware that some of you are still yearning to get back to Prospect Station and Fortuna III: As usual in the world of gaming, never say never, who knows if the future will bring a return to Fortuna III at some point in time... who knows.

Oh, and one last thing Prospector - Fortuna does not forget the bold…"

Just for notice, i have a whole community of people who i used to play with, and we talk about this game coming back every day! we really miss something to play, but most of all, something to really enjoy, as we enjoyed TCF!! i've tried many games after, but none comes even close to TCF! i could be playing hours, days, weeks, years, i would never be bored! i was locked on screen, the fights were the most enjoyable i've ever played... oh man!
please do whatever it takes to bring this masterpiece back to us!! please!!!

so you invested in infrastructure for a massive playerbase that massive cheating chased off?
rough... I hate invasive anticheat but hate cheaters more... a real lose/lose sadly. free to play makes is that much harder to fend them off, really the only thing that can is constant observation and intervention which, no doubt, costs even more :torielsad:
