With the announcement that the game is shutting down does anyone know any similar free looter shooter games?

Ones I know with a similar concept are Hunt Showdown, Tarkov and Destiny 2. All different in their own way though.

Edit: Oh btw I just remembered about a game called: Synced. Dedicated PvE and PvP modes. You can play whichever you want. It has open betas from time to time.

Not free, but Starfield is basically this game on cosmic steroids. And it's single player, too!

Tarkov - if you like it realy hardcore and complex
Hunt: Showdown - with "less loot" and a little bit battleroyal
Marauders - cool setting, early access (little bit sea of thieves in space)

And you can try games like Lost Light (port of a mobile Tarkov Ripoff, but F2P. You can play it on your phone too) or wait for games like Marathon (from Bungie), Beautiful Light (PvPvE (with one Monster controlled by other Player)), Hyenas (from UbiSoft or Sega i think) or ARC Raiders (changed from PvE game to extraction shooter in development).

There's a few in the pipeline. Ascendant, Marathon and Starsiege: Deadzone. But they are due out later in the year.

there's definitely nothing like this game out (currently),

it was unique in that it was hand-crafted, fantastically smooth and immersive to play,

and made all the 'little details' matter,

there's not a (current) game on the lists mentioned above that even comes close to this,

they're at best fps 'shells' that are clones of basic shooter games with a bigger scope,

Destiny is the only series that somewhat captures a 'strange mystical world' ambiance,

and somewhat is giving it a lot of extra credit..

Lol Starfield is No Man's Sky mixed up with Fallout/The Elder Scrolls.

If you're looking for a free extract shooter - Try just watching a streamer play Tarkov, Hunt: Showdown, Marauders or DMZ mode on Call of Duty. You can do other things that will respect your time more, and it's free.
