Eh, no it's not. This is what you get with EOD:

No idea where you got the information that you only get a gamma pouch now.
Sure, so when you play against someone in farmed legendary gear vs your "P2W" blue/purple gear, who will win? lol
And remember that time you didn't know what p2w meant? lol
Seems a bit of a weird way to frame it.
Who do you think has a better shot at getting farmed legendary gear faster, the person in white gear or the person who starts with blue/purple gear?
That there is an advantage to buying the starting packs is without question. That's the main reason they're selling them in the first place. The only argument left is how significant that advantage is.
P2W is when you pay for stronger gear than what non-playing players can get. Pay to win would be when you can pay for a tier of gun or armor that's higher than what's available. This isn't a mmo, you can't gate-keep players from farming better gear than you or farming the same exact gear you have. There is matchmaking and you won't just be slaughtering every player that is f2p.
Nonsense, you only keep your gear if it doesn't get extracted by someone else, which is almost never.
Explain the advantage.
You start with better gear, but do you know how to use it yet?
I've paid nothing, and day one killed someone in my first game carrying gear they'd clearly paid money to have at that stage, which I proceeded to take. Where was his advantage?
Hahahahaha
Imagine 2 people with the exact same skill level, one with white gear and one with purple gear.
Which one do you think is statistically more likely to win a fight?
If rarer gear wasn't better and didn't give you any kind of advantage, we wouldn't have rarer gear and they wouldn't sell them in welcome packs. The entire point of welcome packs is to buy them for better gear.
