because windows spent a lot of money to be the predominant PC platform even though others are probably better

I never considered mac a gaming platform. I use it only for my work.
I'd rather see more Linux support.

You mean "sell it and buy a Windows PC" (Mac is still a PC, as PC = Personal Computer). Also, not exactly a helpful suggestion. Not everyone can just ditch their computer and buy a replacement.
Probably the best suggestion though 😅

mac was never built for gaming... it was designed even for BASIC graphical design. you need a mactower to do anything worth a damn. macbooks always just been $$$ . just like alienware in windows.

btw if you have a mac... you can sell it and buy a better intel pc easily.... mac's are useless otehr than their slim line portability... they arent even hack/virus proof like they use to be able to claim

Why not just use bootcamp or parallel to be able to play these games?

Hey they are real computer. I would never code on a Windows PC.
The only reason I have a Windows PC is for gaming purposes. I would rather ditch Windows for good and play on Linux.

CODING ISNT REAlly even worth it on mac.. unless you are writting mac exclusive programs... again.. that is a biased statement... you dont ever see it going o0oo0 its better to write mac code on pc. or visa versa... ever... so that statment in itself shows you really just have no idea how they work.... or what you claim you are even doing...
now what macs are good for IS CREATION. basic art. they are known for having VERY high resolution scales at crystal clear uHD pixel perfect screens. they over AA everything to extremes... macs are really ONLY for making things * pretty * they dont offer much more than that... they even have LESS privacy settigns than windows...

I am not claiming anything. I am a professional Software Developer and I code on a daily basis. I just read a lot of noise about nothing.

O_o I figured all macs would have it, and parallel still advertises that it works on new macs so I don't believe you're entirely correct but I'll take ur word for it now.

No need for whining... there are already a lot of games running quite well on Macs these days, especially on ARM64 with the Performance of M1 pro/max now and this will definitively increase with Mac Studio coming up with M1 Ultra chip bringing GFX performance to RTX 30xx level!

https://www.applegamingwiki.com/wiki/M1_compatible_games_master_list

With Crossover (wine) and Parallels (VM) you already get quite good compatibility even without native macOS builds (which is ofc! some extra effort for Devs)

Only problem is (still) with Easy Anti Cheat enabled Games since it's still lacking ARM64 support - but this is only a matter of time now....
Epic already added Linux/Wine and MacOS (intel) support to EAC half a year ago.
