Please add a non-PvP mode?
I will play this game in a *heartbeat* if I can play without the PvP element. It's been the same situation with Tarkov and it's really disappointing they've committed to the PvP element of their game.

There just are not any good, gritty, first-person PvE shooters with looting and RPG elements with a potential co-operative element anywhere on the market. (Far Cry is a cartoon, let's be real. And we all know what Borderlands is like.)

This game could *perfectly* fill that niche.

And of course the PvPvE mode can remain for the gamers that appeals to.

Please consider!

So I take it a PVE only mode is out of the question?

Really don't like PVE for the most part. People are just so toxic most of the time.
Games Like 7 Days to die can be played PVE exclusively and still offer a fun experience but there is the option for those that want to play PVPVE

Toxicity is kind of my complaint with PvP-only games - just look at the peanut gallery this thread attracted. Competitive gaming, in my experience, attracts negativity - whereas cooperative experiences tend towards positivity.

re: Feralus - I understand it's not what the game's been designed for. But, and while the example is a little trite, Fortnite wasn't designed to be a Battle Royale game, either.

Side note: the irony of Fortnite starting as a PvE game that turned into a wildly successful PvP game is not lost on me! But it goes to show how open-minded audience-inclusive approaches can succeed in excess of original design ideas.

Yes the Fortnite example is a pretty good one, but hey... game already shifted once ^^

Though for now it will definitely remain without a PvE only mode, but who knows what the future might bring.

Yes they could make pve only servers, but i think that will make the game boring, because you will not get very tense like when you are in server with other people, unless the pve is more hard and dangerous.

But the biggest problem is when you are playing solo and there are squads in same servers.

I hope they let servers for solo people and other for squads. This need to be sepparated. I dont wanna lose my items because i find a squad using mic and with big advantages, its very unfair, like it happened in beta with me many times.

I was thinking the same as im a solo player and the first day of matches annoyed me. Highly geared players nailing me constantly sometime even 3 man squads. So i started running knife & basic backpack. I started to improve after learning the map and choke points

My point is i thought the same as you but now I see what intensity the PVP element provides. Try my method that way deaths are only costing you 150 credits, while you zoom around learning the map.
TheGreenFellow 20. okt. 2021 kl. 12.39
I understand what the appeal of the PvP 'intensity' is, that's what the selling point of typical BR games are after all.

It's just not for me. To me, it's just a source of frustration, between griefers and cheaters and game balance - all the issues that open up any time "Player vs Player" is an element.

I want the kind of game experience this game has to offer, without that element.

Maybe they could also add servers or maps that have harder PvE content, but that's not really the focus of my request here.

OP I am a solo PVE player, i played 60 hours of this game solo on epic game store when it released on there. There game has changed alot but the foundation of PvEvP is still the same.

Give it a try, the maps are so big you can literally avoid PVP for the most part. You could also select solo or duo servers back when i played it. There team up with random player in game is quite cool. Most games are kill on sight but i found my experience of this was people would hit the team up button instead so made it even more fun.

The main times i remember coming up against PVP was the drop ship at the end of the match, but just rush in and you will be fine don't try and fight the campers.

I had so much fun and i am very much like you and i prefer PVE content. I highly recommend giving it a go at least.

Tarkov was always meant to be PvPvE.. not sure where you got the idea it was going to be PvE. If you absolutely must they have a mod out there that makes tarkov a singleplayer experience, but it's up to you to find the links to it.

I...never said Tarkov was going to be PvE? I stated it's really disappointing that they've committed to the PvP part of their experience.

BSG recently has even cracked down on the third party mods that make it a single player experience (which also, incidentally, *not* what I am looking for).

The possibility is there for PvE servers, as the mods prove, but BSG has actively refused to fulfill that desire for players.

That's why I'm asking for things to be different here in this game.

I just don't have that desire. If and when I can play without the risk of my time and investment in the game being negated by other random players, that's when I'll give it a go.

Or just find a single player game? Not everything has to cater to everyone.
Sal UK 20. okt. 2021 kl. 16.51
I think it would take too much from the game if it was PVE, as Its mad how it gets intense when you hear another players footsteps Close by and you also have a Monster coming for you, you know you have to shoot giving your position away to other players close by there is a high chance they want your loot. But other games such as Ark,rust ect I do like playing PVE but this would be too easy and not very challenging in a PVE mode.
Chief spartan44 20. okt. 2021 kl. 17.08
Well part of the whole premise is the pvp

Peter Steele wouldn't approve of the non PvP stance. Play a lil PvP.....for Peter.

Which...is not what I'm asking/looking for in the first place. Why exclude anyone if you don't have to?

ARK and Rust are both glitches, bugs, and penises galore. Also, third person survival games...not really the same kind of experience.

By no means am I wishing for them to make this game PvE-*only*. I just want a non-PvP option.

LOL no

I take back my previous recommendation based on what the game used to be like it's not even the same game anymore. Just played my first round an what a horrible direction it has taken.

I remember a game that was fun , easy to get into, could level up in the match and call in air drops for new weapons as you ranked up in a single match.

Now it got some weird loot system where we don't keep anything we take with us it just feels meh the entire gameplay loop felt weak compared to how great it used to be.

I'll have to give it more time to see if the great content/gameplay it use to have is maybe hidden further into the game but so far i'm not impressed, not to mention performance is all over the place. I used to play on ultra on EGS with a solid 60FPS here on steam on this new version i got it Low and struggling to stay stable when i turn there is loads of FPS drops all over the place.
