Handshake on Oculus Rift
Does anybody know how to get past the handshaking part of this demo? The robot keeps shaking my hand and I have tried everything I can think of to get past this part.

Same, I think that there is something new on the Index Controller that an Oculus Touch can't do other than moving all the fingers.
I'm having the same problem with the vive controllers.
The game uses pressure detection in the grips, try changing the controller bindings to enable a button to emulate pressure
It's not optimized for Rift, the page doesn't say that it supports it, only Index and Vive.

Rift Touch controllers can much of what Index controllers can in regular gameplay (with the middle finger being attached to the ring and pinky finger rather than tracked individually, so you can't play rock paper scissors either, but the thumb and pointer finger can be individually tracked on Touch also) but the game has to be programmed to acknowledge all this. I guess this tech demo isn't (and other Vive focused games aren't either, like SUPERHOT didn't have hand animations for Touch).

The grip trigger on Touch is analog, not digital, they could have made the pressure applied to the trigger count as squeezing the Index controller handles further but they didn't, I guess.

Maybe you can do some custom bindings or something, I dunno.

The whole point of the experience is to demo what you can do with the Index controllers, its not surprising you cant get far with touch or wand controls.
So if I am a big fun of Portal games, but I have just HTC Vive with Vive controllers.... is there any way to fully experience this game? Even though I would not be able to make a high-five, thumb-up or anything?
its not really a game, its a just a demo for the Index controllers.

Was wondering about the grip button just now as I was holding my conttrollers. If it has a value of 1-100 it could be used for "pressure"
Actually the grip has the same touch capacity as the triggers.... But most games use grip and only use touch capacity to show how closed your grip is and show where your fingers probably are. If you want you cant bind the grip button to the grip touch, and the squeeze to the grip button....
What are you peasants doing playing my demo?
It was only Intended to showcase what the Index Controllers are capable of.
So I wouldn't be surprised if there was hassle as the handshake relies on the grip sensors,
which requires a certain force which I don't think the Oculus & VIVE Controllers can output.
Also it says VIVE cause the Index Controllers works with the Pro & non-pro VIVE.
