There's one quick way to check if it's active, which is just to open the gallery. If the patch is installed correctly, there'll be a button to check a second page.

there is not second page in the gallery, clicking the download button for the patch just launches the game

Hello, sorry for asking this in another topic but would you have any information about the problem in the conquest "Pryia"? Unfortunately I and other players are having problems with it.

Try to check the additional content section in your library, if it is gray as a game not installed then yes the content is not enabled. In these cases usually uncheck and re-check the square resolves. If it turns white then it is active. ^^

We were actually able to get the achievement to unlock on our own account, so it's hard to say.

Having old save data (ie, saves from another store's build or from a copy of the Steam build that you moved out of its folder) may cause issues with achievements. And then there are a myriad of problems that could've occurred just while using Steam.

You can try the following, but keep in mind that your gallery and "read text" progress may be reset:
1. deleting the game's save folder (right-click The Wilting Amaranth in your library > Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files... > game > saves)
2. delete TheWiltingAmaranth folder in %appdata% > roaming > RenPy
3. following the same steps as suggestion 1, delete the "cache" folder instead
4. steps 1 & 2 or all steps at once to cover all of your ground
