Yellow Bug Icon on a Shelf

As the title says, there's a yellow bug icon on a shelf in my storage room. What doe s it mean and how do I get rid of it? When I click on the shelf there are no extra options.

And while I’m asking about bugs, where should I place my bug repellents? I have them in all the rooms but all my beds have bugs. :(

Bed bugs are the ones who are removed by a special cleaning action when you click the bed. For a bug in the shelf, that's a bark beetle, and this is the type of pests that a bug repellent should be used on.

Very odd. I have 2 bug repellents in my storage room, one of them is right near this particular shelf. Been there for days but the bark beetle won't go away. Do I just have to give it more time or iIs this a bug? (all puns intended)
