The Impossible Private room
Appearance: 91
Size: 90
Cleanness: 91
Saftey: 97

I have rugs, chandeliers, the best bed, a fireplace, flowers, mirror, potty, I have pretty tile and wallpaper, WHAT ELSE DOES THIS ♥♥♥♥♥ NEED. THE PRIVATE ROOM IS BIGGER THAN MY ACTUAL INN.

What's worse is after I put the fireplace in, I went to 2.5 stars but size was still low. so I made it bigger. IT WENT BACK TO 2. IS 16 SQUARES TOO BIG????? BUT 12 IS TOO SMALL???????MAKE UP YOUR MIND

I fell you bruh. Try renting it out with 2.5 stars, worked for me. Maybe the game rounds it up to 3, no idea. I made my private room into a palace and that b*tch still wasn't happy.

In my case all the stats were over 90, except the size. Enlarging the room to 12 squared did the trick for me.
What exactly do you have in the room to get this result?
Midas Oct 26, 2019 @ 11:47am
You can place multiple ruggs for example
Qubi Oct 26, 2019 @ 12:00pm
check the requierments when assigning her the room.
some of the icons dont match with the actual needed items. a red cross should indicate the problem.
also, place multiple "fancy" items in the room to increase the star rating, if necessary. (appearance >250 equals 5 stars)
bigger room means, more items needed.

For anyone else wondering, I ended up just covering the whole floor in rugs. seemed she liked that :/ whatever works I guess. I wasn't aware the rating could go over 100 so makes sense that 90 wasn't all that high

Room quality doesn't really matter. A 2x2 room with the right items will easily satisfy your special employees.

Requirements are really simple:
Adventurers need bed, chest, chamber pot (I think)
Bards need bed, writing desk and chamber pot (I think)
Vedetas need mirror, kii's bed, changing screen.

Variations might be that you need a certain theme for the room.

To make a room 3 star or more, just put some decorations with the positive crown property.

You probably also know this already but only special employees use the private room and you must unlock them in your journal first. Then you must manually assign them a room when they visit your tavern. (just a friendly reminder, since your frustrations weren't vented clearly)

the last window in all my special characters does not appear for me. I have no clue what the last requirement is for them.
monjaibeat Nov 4, 2019 @ 3:56am
the characters only need 3 things, the things listed by Nanny. even if you can't "see" the requirements, just get those things in the room and you're okay. Make sure to select the room you're putting the special tenant in, all red x's should disappear
Tazmo Nov 4, 2019 @ 4:31am
The private room is generic - one size fits all. The people you hire are specific and have specific needs. The red X's are there to remind you that there are specific requirements. Once you try to rent the room you will be given those needs if you haven't already met them.

How do you get a chest? Is the chest unlocked at some point? Can I find it in a trade route? I'm doing the campaign at the Callesterre stage and I still haven't seen a chest, which I need to hire adventurers.

This game plain and simple should never have been released. I have been stuck in campaign mode at building a Yovale private room and have all decorations to complete room. My game after hours of game play has come to a complete stop because I cant progress the story and the soldiers just keep robing my shop. Very disappointing:steamfacepalm:

i can't find any chest aswell
Rixson Nov 4, 2019 @ 1:19pm
Interestingly, I started the game today and saw I had 3 types of chests available.
Little Fishy Nov 4, 2019 @ 1:36pm
I found that chest in campaign mode didn't unlock until I was required to hire an adventurer by the stories instruction. You won't have the chest til before then I believe.

There is also a bard lurking about who has a dear head picture in his name :/ I put a hunting trophy up for him but it doesn't appear to be the right one.
It's pretty hit and miss with telling me what though as sometimes I can hover my mouse over the picture for a tip, but more often than not, I get nothing instead.

Just be patient.
There are bugs and you'll probably have to restart the game a bunch of times (like when employees go completely stupid and don't know what they're supposed to be doing), but it's pretty fun. Definitely a time sink, think i'm closing in on 24 hours play time already. Not a fast game in my opinion.
