Candles
I'm not posting yet to bug reports, but just curious. Anyone else seem to have to constantly supply candles to your inn? My inn must go thru 100 candles a 'day' in the game.

Actually my Inn design is very efficient and has 1 chandeller/candle holder in all rooms, with the exception of the guest room with has 2, for asthetic reasons mostly. That's a total of 8 chandellers/candle holders and my consumption rate is very low.

A full order of 20 stacks can last me quite a while...

Candles should last around 4 days. Just keep in mind that the default chandelier and candle stand use 5 candles each. So just 4 chandeliers in your main room can burn up the candles quickly.

personally i didn't like buying candles, but then i discovered that torches use fat and even later that firepots just used firewood, so now i mostly lit everything with fire pots.

chandeliers have both the advantages of being quite aesthetically pleasing and not using floor or wall space, but the simplified logistics of firepots bought me over. in any case i've not done the research about if candles are more efficient than other light fuels, but again, wood is cheap and the kitchen also uses it.

also, usually one light source seems to be enough for most rooms, but i don't know how many "squares" can be reached with one light source

I run a mix of torches/lamps and candles. As far as I can tell they all last the same duration. Candles and torches installed at the same time will burn out at the same time.

Early game torches seem the better option. Fat is cheaper then candles. However the rate of consumption seems the same 5 fat per torch and 5 candles per chandelier. In the long run candles win out if you are set up to make your own. Unless there is a way to make your own fat I've not found yet.
