Inn is always dirty??
I've tried closing the inn and getting everyone to clean, but it gets dirty so quickly when its open. Also the employees will have the cleaning bubble above their head, walk into a dirty room and go immediately back out when there is nothing blocking them, then go on to do something else. Its frustrating as I'm always getting customers complaining the place is dirty.

Yeah i even have a few of the servers set to ONLY clean Maxed out priority and the place is STILL after 4 days in game a trash heap. I really don't know what more to do. I reset the game to see if they would start cleaning but nadda.

Same It think... Got 4 'rooms' private, guest, kitchen, main hall.... everything is clean except the damn main hall.. at least 3-4 people with only priotiry to clean .... nobody cares about the main hall, and they all go clean room that are already clean .. tired to close the inn for 2 days.... nothing changed. Every cleaner wanna clean un-dirty space instead of the main hall

I don't know if this applies to folk having problems but I did try a little game experiment...

What I found was that the addition of a second floor crucified me with cleaning. And one stuff got dirty it was nigh-impossible to get things clean again. The only possibility I can think of that may get you back on track is to manually close the inn for a while until you're clean. Though I imagine you'll need substantial guldens first to cover your overheads.

Hope this is of some help...

Just wondering.. is your main hall at the bottom right of your configuration too ? I was just wonding if there may be some kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up priority that start top left, and finishes bottom right ...

I kinda tried everything, and now it seems that a second room has been promoted to "let's be a dirty room" (my guest room....) does not seems to be that much of a big problem, exect the voice saying it's dirty ...

At this rate my only clean place will be my "worman dirty worker" room ... which is kind of .. funny ? ...
Have you guys tried setting the main hall as main priority cleaning? Right click it (or left click it, i forget) and 'set priority' to max. They'll still clean, but that'll be the most concerned clean.
P much all workers can clean, too, so that helps.

Yup tried to play with the priorities a lot before posing here... nothing seems to work. Even tried to set the room as "private room" and back to "main hall" to see if it could fix it ... but nothing .....

Found a fix for me in my inn. I previously had stairs to 2nd floor only in the main hall so all of my employees would have to go through the main hall in order to get to the staff room or do something upstairs, in other words making it dirtier each time. I set up another pair of stairs in the back of my establishment and it helped with some of the dirt in the main hall.

I have 1 - 2 servants entirely dedicated to cleaning and set to max speed priority (they also have the speedy trait), along with 3 drudges who help in between with low cleaning priority. Rest of my servants are only serving the tables.

Sometimes when there's a monster rush or my cleaners are on break I usually close the inn to make sure no more guests enter. I also take advantage of this downtime and order stuff that I need and open again once it's clean/restocked. I still get spammed with poor service but I rarely notice any guest complaining about dirty rooms and instead get compliments about it's cleanliness and get fame points.

P.S Setting a room as a max priority for cleaning doesn't seem to work, so I don't bother with it. The AI only seem to get confused by it and wander around the inn aimlessly.

So I just cheated myself some funds, set the inn to closed, had everyone who could clean do only that, changed all rooms cleaning priority to medium and let the game run on fast for a good while. Result: Cleanliness of all rooms except storage and main hall 95+, storage and main hall cleanliness 0. It is definately not that the staff can't keep up I dare say. There is something fundamentally borked with the main hall. The staff just runs through it with the cleaning icon and happily cleans anything but the main hall or storage room for me.

Yup I'm pretty sure there is a bug somewhere, that make the cleaning crew ignore some rooms. Hard to say what is the cause, ...
I've started a second "main halll" that seems to be okay for now ...

The staff ignores cleaning my main hall. I set it to max priority and they still ignore it.
Krescentwolf Nov 2, 2019 @ 11:18am
I think the staff, for some reason, has the main hall set to lowest priority when cleaning rooms. I had 2 drudges and a servant all set to max priority cleaning, and they would go around and clean all the other rooms well enough.

The dorm, the kitchen, etc. all would get cleaned regularly, but only AFTER pretty much everything else was clean, would they finally start sweeping the main hall. End result being that the main hall would end up pretty dirty, while everything else wouldn't.

I set two servants to only cleaning with the highest priority. Then it takes a couple of minutes. The main hall shines!
Vosoros Nov 2, 2019 @ 2:17pm
I do have to be wary about getting an order in for the Inn. When that happens the Drudges are bogged down in hauling and the cleanliness goes to heck. Thankfully they pick up the slack in time.

My other concern is the rugs. They're just a muck-magnet...

I found some stoves may make this situation.
When stove dirties floor with soot, employees are willing to clean it madly. However, if the stove is set too close to the wall or other objects, they sometimes can't reach the soot between them and the tasks to clean soot are left and piled up. The priority of these tasks seem to be higher than to clean rooms. So employees wouldn't' clean rooms such as main hall.

When I moved the stove in the middle of the kitchen, many employees rushed to the black soot. And they started to clean rooms well after they had finished cleaning the soot.
